If we're talking just the music, my favorite this season is easily the Kokkoku OP. I'd need to refresh my memory on a few shows if we're including the videos too (but it wouldn't be Kokkoku in that case, it's OP is pretty boring visually)

Well, if that is an issue, you could always watch the anime instead. It sounds like you haven't seen that either.

Chances are I'll watch the anime someday but I prefer VNs over their adaptations wherever possible.

Yeah, they openly stated that they had intended to give Yukine a fuller route, but it ended up being cut short. She's not really considered to be a "main" girl.

Ah that makes sense then. Kyou/Ryou are up next and I assume they're considered main so I'll see the difference soon!

Devilman spoilers

I thought the ending was more about futility than darkness. Ryo destroyed humanity for nothing because he was always going to lose to God's wrath. That final revelation he had after losing his only friend was the message the audience was supposed to take away from it all so that we won't give into hatred in our own lives because it's ultimately destructive and meaningless

There's a chance I'm wrong about all of that, Devilman didn't really jive with me so I haven't been thinking too hard about it, but that was my interpretation.
