NHL is superior, wtf NFL not being a complete shit show, politics aside.

I mean the NFL is a shit show but it's a fantastic product in comparison to the NBA.

The NBA is just a horrible product that seems to want to become unpopular.

I think both leagues are setting up to fail. I like the MLB fine, but as the least popular, the NHL is on a good track right now and gaining a lot more fans.

Incredible start for the Golden Knights. They're going to need that success to continue when the Raiders come to town.

My advice would be spend money on durables and outerwear, cheap out on basics.

I.e. stuff to spend money on:

- shoes/boots
- jackets/coats
- accessories

Stuff to cheap out on:

- pants
- shirts
- t shirts

Consider looking for a tailor. Wouldn't be hard for them to hem pants and shirts in when necessary.

This is good advice. Listen to this man.

Does anyone here ACTUALLY know the story of Columbus?

He was a moronic oaf, he thought the Earth was actually shaped like a pear. Even back in his day, he was openly mocked for such a claim.

He had to beg the Spanish king and queen several times to get the money needed for the voyages.

The pear shaped earth belief translated into maps he drew for his voyage to the New World to be completely inaccurate, and making the equator several thousand kilometres smaller than it actually is. It is why he swore up and down that he actually landed in India, and that the people he met were clearly Indians.

He was a weasel of a man, and his fleets brought nothing but death, disease, and famine to peoples that did nothing wrong.

The only reason Columbus' 'achievements' are still taught in schools is because his first English language autobiography in the 1920s played fast and loose with these facts. Columbus was propped up to be a hero to Italian and Spanish immigrants to the USA because they needed a distraction from their own real world problems.

The material from that autobiography made its way into school curriculums, spread as ironclad fact, and the rest is history.

I wish those vandals did more.

forget home ownership, enjoy your Obamacare premiums instead!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Home ownership was a dream that entirely died in the early 2000s for all except the high middle class and above.

People have rented or lived at home their entire lives in multigenerational homes. The baby boom dream of every family realistically owning their own home was an anomaly, and society is moving to correct it.

Besides, even when you 'own' your home, you always have to pay property taxes and home maintenance costs. You will ALWAYS be paying some asshole to be living where you are.

The real question is how many of those survived.

Only three died in infancy.

I am not entirely convinced that this father was not a Kryptonian of some kind.

Who gives a fuck about the father. You could impregnate multiple women a day, everyday. It's mindblowing that the first wife survived that shit. And nasty.

The father does not have a switch that determines the number of kids in a pregnancy. If these were all single child births, it would still be unusual, but not extraordinary.

I'm sure the Great War generation is filled with families with 10+ siblings.
