With nintendo, you play with a bunch of no names that you can't add unless you know how to contact them and get their friend code. On the Wii U you add people using their NNID and can send friend requests to people you met in games using a "Player History" list. Switch went back to Friend Codes for some reason, but you can still add people you've played with recently. Friend Codes were only really a problem on Wii and DS, where you needed a code for each game. |
