Japan was already planning to surrender... to the Soviet Union. Truman dropped those bombs to hasten Japanese surrender on terms favorable to America.

Maybe 5 if I really dig out of my closets for them. Buying movies always seemed pointless even in the 90s, because of how ubiquitous video rental stores were. And especially now when everything is just so easy to pirate or stream on some service or another.

True. None of those games are actually "bad", just generally hated by gamers. They're all quite good tho.

A real Capital B Bad game would be something like, sonic 06 or the new Gollum game. I can't think of any of those that I play.

Topic"Karen" is a term used to silence women

It absolutely got overused in a more general misogynistic way. Literally any time a woman has an opinion on anything, people would reply "Ok Karen."

But anyone who has worked a job with customer service, especially restraunts and retail, knows that "Karens" are a real thing.

At my last job in a grocery store w/ a floral department, on one of my very last days at work, a middle aged white lady came in to yell at all the employees and management about the state of our basil plants. She was talking about how she apparently runs a YouTube channel and was threatening to expose our bad business. When she finally got to talk to the store owner, she introduced herself saying "Hello, my name is Karen." We could barely contain our laughter.

I guess there's the really short and meh Mario and Luigi sequel game on the DS. Can't even remember that title. I beat that one and didn't like it at all outside of the soundtrack.

Anyone would would list MGSV in their top FIFTY worst games has either not played many games or has had a blessed gaming career.

I take it you didn't read my post? I can't think of a time I have played a bad video game I didn't like to the end, so this is relative to the other games I've beaten. I can think of a lot of games worse than MGSV, but I didn't complete any of them. As disappointing as TPP was, I did like it enough to beat the final mission (literally a repeat of the tutorial mission).

That's a good question. I don't normally hang around to beat games I don't even like.

I guess I'll go with Metal Gear Solid V. Solid game in and of itself, but deeply disappointing. Unfinished, and not really much of a Metal Gear game at all. Good core gameplay can't make up for the lack of fun bosses, story, funny gimmicks, personable characters, etc, all the hallmarks of a good Metal Gear game. And at the end of the day, the game is just yet another big, empty open world with nothing to do in it. What's there is very polished, but like, what's the point? I liked the game enough to grind to the ending, but the whole thing is just so empty and hollow. oooo, like a phantom pain, ooooo.

I guess there's Astria Ascending. Really weird 2D traditional turn-based JRPG (despite technically being developed in France), takes a lot of obvious inspiration from early Final Fantasy. Deeply mid. There's some redeaming qualities, I enjoy the fact you get all 8 of your party members right away and can jump right into character customization, hardly any "locked features." The job system was cool, but since the game has no respecs and you have no idea what you're getting into until you pick one, it can be stiffling. The game is quite goofy looking, sometimes outright ugly. And like many turn-based JRPGs, the meta ultimately devolves into Party-Wide Nuke Spells vs Party-Wide Heal Spells. But I still enjoyed it enough to get to the end, and then never played it again.
