Incompetence/negligence vs reckless/intentional can in fact change what somebody is charged with. But besides that, it certainly can affect how strongly we condemn him for it. Was he a gamer dweeb over his head or was he literally planning to steal hundreds of thousands of charity money? There is an ocean of difference.

I'm making no excuses for him and have no attachment for him. I just don't want to be part of an overzealous internet mob, because if it was incompetence, I can imagine many youtubers this could potentially happen to. Who thought it'd be easy to do something good and screwed it up.

Yeah this is where i'm at. This screams incompetence a lot more than malice, and the people blowing him up seem to want to drive an angle from the jump for clicks (which is honestly pretty par for the course nowadays). The fact that the money is still there and not just in someone's bank account already puts this a tier below most other youtuber money shenanigans pulled on their fans.

Title + thumbnail is a little clickbaity/implying beyond whats actually going on, as if they are running with the money and using it on themselves, though what has actually happened so far is still not good.

The charity hasn't distributed money out yet and has been sitting on funds waiting for the right partner, while claiming they are actively distributing to organizations. Jirard himself wasn't aware till last year and now is personally involved in finding the right partner after finding out, but still went on streams claiming they were sending funds out.

It does, but it was only addressed cause it was a tweet that blew up about it. It's been a thing since SF4, and known i believe since around early sfv, and it's overall very very very miniscule impact, to the point of being fairly ignorable.

Their solution instead gives every hitbox an immediate instant DP input. This was something that got popular towards the end of SFV, and was explicitly coded out of SF6 on a software level. In sf4 and sfv, if you did right, right+down, then right+down+up, you got a free DP without ever having to do the hitch in the motion, so you could just quite literally slap your hands down in a way to effectively immediately DP anything. When SF6 betas dropped and they removed that DP shortcut, that was a big thing that was also very good. But then the decision to force Down+Up to be neutral has brought it back, since Right, Right+Down, Right+Down+Up is inputting to the game "Right, Right+Down, Right" which is a valid DP every time in SF. This is far far far more impactful, as not only are there FAR more DP chars than flash kick ones, the amount of situations this has use and impact is also much much wider than just the rare no standing EX Flash Kick.

hitboxes are nice but they are beginning to get to the point of being overrated. Also the call in SF6 to force all hitboxes to no longer make down + up be up is mad dumb and is the embodiment of like, trying to fix a problem and making it worse.

got a 3/5 ARM here, 5.25% for a home bought at the end of August this year. Housing prices here aren't too crazy (330k is what I paid), so I plan on getting a large chunk of it paid off in advance before the interest rises or needs a refinancing

There's a fair argument to use whichever you want for Yamato given how (poorly) Oda wrote that situation, but Bridget is 100% trans beyond all doubt. The director even made a direct statement reconfirming this again, not too long after transphobes made fake customer support emails to try and trick people after her announcement in Strive.

ehh, not really true. Power users have bled away like crazy, and it's losing relevance bit by bit, especially under the verification changes. It's been a slow death, but it's definitely on the down swing, and it swings further down with almost every boneheaded change done under Elon.

As soon as an alternative consolidates enough, it'll be over. It's more of a question of when than if.

Yeah saying female as a replacement for woman kinda just carries a pretty gross vibe. It's been a thing for years but the grossness of it got way worse after openly misogynistic groups of people adopted it as their way to refer to women.

The use of it as an adjective is still 100% fine though.

As someone who has not watched or read One Piece so far, what was the whole "THE ONE PIECE IS REAL" meme about?

the story of one piece starts on the pirate king declaring at his execution that he left all his treasure in one place, telling everyone in the world to go and find it. It gets called the One Piece, and this declaration starts an era of pirates searching all over for it. 20+ years later, when the story largely takes place, the treasure still isn't found and people begin to doubt its existence, with many pirates even mocking those who believed such a tale. The One Piece is real meme is a moment in the series where a character declares to the world that yes, it really is real.

Having to manually search, find, grind, etc as well as spend money for every version of every game and side game that could have some variation of a pokemon that would give an advantage is pretty damn exhausting just to play the game at high level.

it was meh. The actual parts of stuff going on was great, but it was like the middle 10 minutes of the episode were wasted

if the multiple endings turn you away, don't let them, you don't have to get them unless you want to. The core mechanic of the game is that you can fight the final boss whenever you want, and the ending are just what happens when you fight the boss before finishing up various plot elements at certain spots. You can beat the game as normal and just youtube the earlier ones unless you personally want to take on the challenge of finishing early.

Texas as a state is pretty fine with regards to stuff like this. It's more just exclusively Houston/south east Texas that gets nearly all of it between flooding and hurricanes. Stuff like the valentines day freeze is looking like more of a freak one off as more time passes.
