There's nothing that the Democrats could get out of trying to make a deal with McCarthy. They don't have the votes, and any deal that McCarthy would make would them would instantly lose all of the Republican votes. It would be a worthless deal. And any "handshake" agreement with Republicans is worthless as well because they are proven liars.Currently, there are a lot of house republicans who are annoyed by the shit Gaetz and co have been doing, any negotiations would involve more than just democrats and McCarthy. And yeah, you cant trust him, so youd need any deal to involve changing House rules.
