Even if some pre-Disney magazine called it the model of the ship, which I highly doubt, the advertised name for it was Slave One. It was changed because of Disney's dislike for the name.

The same goes for Slave Leia becoming Huttslayer Leia.

No, you're edgy because you combine heavy doses of "well, akshully" with "don't talk shit about what you don't know." It's Star Wars. Nobody gives a fuck that you know the difference between a star ship's make and model. Though Boba Fett's ship was absolutely called Slave One until Disney took exception to the use of the term slave.

I do apologize for the New Zealand accent. That one's on me. Either way, it doesn't fit the character like his original original voice did. The voice was every bit as important to the character as the helmet and they botched it up. No offense meant to any New Zealanders.

Miyamoto saw that Dinosaur Planet had an anthropomorphic animal lead and thought it would make a nice addition to the Star Fox universe. It's kinda like trying to put The Lion King in the same universe as 101 Dalmatians. Left at talking animals, it's fine. But if you tried putting Rafiki's magic in Cruella De Vil's London, it would start to unravel a bit.

I understand holding onto the magic staff for continuity purposes, but I also understand never using it because it really shouldn't have been a part of "Star Fox."

The guy who played Fred in Scooby Doo, Where Are You! (back in 1969) is still playing Fred to this very day throughout all the various series and movies they've made. With only a couple of exceptions.

There's always a 50/50 chance. Jodi Benson sounded as much like the Little Mermaid in Ralph Breaks the Internet as she did back in 1989. Meanwhile, Tress MacNeille's Gadget sounded like a grandmother in the recent Disney+ Rescue Rangers movie.

I know Cal Dodd will have no trouble voicing Wolverine. Even if his voice has aged, Logan was always gruff voiced.

George Lucas doomed the series when he renamed the first film Episode IV. They had three films which told a complete story and a good one. The alterations and retcons were unnecessary and, ultimately, left the series in a far worse place than it needed to be.

They had three A-grade sci-fi movies.
Now their average is a C- at best.

MJ is poison as far as the higher ups are concerned. I don't expect her to be the primary love interest in any Spider-Man media going forward. At least not until there's a shakeup in management. I'd just hate to see that mentality retroactively effect a continuation of a 90s cartoon.

In a way, it was kinda the first MCU / Spider-Verse. In the final episodes, he went to other universes to meet different versions of himself. He met Stan Lee in a universe where Spider-Man was a fictional character played by a Hollywood actor.

If they do pick up where the 90s series left off, it would open up the door to some crossovers with modern characters. I just hope that they would acknowledge that Mary Jane Watson is the one and only for *that* version of Spider-Man. I'd hate to see them go all, "I'm glad MJ is all right, but (insert Spider-Gwen or new girl here) and I have a connection I've never felt before with anyone else."

I hear the show may include elements of modern day politics, but how much and how intrusive it will be we wont know until we watch the show for ourselves

I am a bit curious about how Rogue will be handled this time. She was a Southern Belle and, in one episode, she likened an attack from Juggernaut to "that Yankee general Sherman."

I'm curious if they'll quietly ignore that part of her character, and pretend such lines never happened, or if they'll go full force with her distancing herself from the bigoted community she grew up in.

I could only imagine the backlash the show would get from bigots if they went all the way and gave her a boyfriend who is Black.

I had my breakfast sandwich and a handful of peanuts. Did I take four ibuprofen or not? I wouldn't want to double up on a maximum dose, but my back is killing me. (I've no idea why, really. I kinda rushed through my work on Friday, which would explain a slight burning, but it is like legitimately hurting.)

I guess there's no choice but to wait an hour and see if the pain is still there. If I'm still hurting, it means I didn't take any. I don't wanna OD on ibuprofen.

When I went out to mow my backyard, there was a huge-ass brown rabbit. (Hare?) It stared at me, then retreated to the side yard. When my mowing took me to the side yard, it was still there. Then it retreated entirely.

On one of the very last rows of grass that I had to mow, a patch of fluff beneath the grass began to move. I knew when I saw that rabbit, it was trying to lead me away from its young. I denied it, but I knew there had to be a rabbit nest somewhere in the yard. The parent will return after sundown. I just hope it finds its babies okay.

Remember the outrage when mainstream cast Craig as Bond because he was blonde? I 'member.

I stand by that outrage. It messed with Bond's signature look. Idris Elba would have been better casting and I'm not being ironic.

It doesn't really matter though. The Craig films failed to capture the spirit of 007 and whoever would have been cast would have been written as a rusty nail. Craig's Bond is as suave as a slit wrist.

I feel like Netflix is more likely to randomly change a character's ethnicity than Disney. Disney does that with supporting characters, but they don't often do that with lead characters.
