Did he also create fire emblem?There's only three Kirby characters in Smash (though Bandana Waddle Dee really should be in at this point), but as for the FE characters, it's all due to circumstances. -Roy was originally a very last-minute clone added to Melee to beef up Melee's roster and to promote his upcoming game. -Lucina was intended to be a Marth alt, but they decided to change the properties of her sword and this necessitated them being separated. -Chrom was heavily demanded on the Smash Ballot by Japan, and he got in as a Roy clone/Echo. Aside from Marth, the other FE characters (Ike, Robin, Corrin, Byleth) were included because their games were new, and with Ultimate bringing back literally everyone who has ever been playable in Smash, this was the logical conclusion. --- Eat the rich Destroy the GOP |
