In all seriousness, even if this movie didn't bomb in its crappy in-universe, Buzz Lightyear is never taking off as a kids toy. That character is just never turning into the toy.

The weird meta-universe that they used to try to justify this movies existence makes no logical sense.

Lightyear ended up on the higher end of its potential range for me so i'm not complaining.

I would wager next list puts up more sequels.

I mean aside from the fact that I went on to repudiate the exact thing I said, I do get what you're saying in the sense that a lot of holocaust skepticism seems to stem from peoples' refusal to believe that the killing of millions of people could ever happen, but I find it sadly all too believable and it does not play with my imagination like the physical difficulty of landing people on the moon does.

Oh no I totally get that it isn't your belief.

But moon landing was basically used as a prototype on how to indoctrinate society on things with way more harmful implications. So it is always a sore spot to my brain. Like maybe it doesn't play to your imagination, but that is going to be different for everyone. It was basically a modern blueprint on how to feed people shitty ideas.

It's one of the rare conspiracy theories where the conspiracy theory does seem more likely than what actually happened, because the fact that we landed on the moon is truly amazing and does feel like it demands extraordinary evidence to believe.

Going to hard disagree with this mindset. We simply have so many records and as mostly pointless as it was, it was a huge moment in history. We did something cool, because we could. It took a lot of fucking science and shit.

It is something you should basically be taught "Yeah we did this, it was a big moment in history" and to suddenly turn to "well but i conspiracy" is fucking loony.

It is not as harmful but it is in the same mindset as holocaust denial and other fundamentally bad shit like that. You would just change it to "yeah it is easier to believe humanity wouldn't do something like that".

Honestly GFAQs has a door to success again if they wanted to commit to in-depth guides with accurate information like it used to have.

So many sites when I'm trying to find information on current games are full of incomplete, inaccurate, or honestly just "10 minute video for 5 second answer" content and its a pain in the ass. I miss when there was a site like GFAQs with a dedicated userbase that made easy to navigate concise content.

Done. Can honestly say Final Fantasy+ mode really does not add anything interesting whatsoever. Game is equally difficult on run 2, mainly cause the dodge is just busted as hell even without any of the OP accessories on.

For an action game without a lot of things happening with normal enemy swings, the dodge button just gives you too many frames. There needed to be more punishment for using it at the wrong times and less leeway on timing.

That or maybe just some more aggressive adds or something during boss fights. In trash fights the enemies just had a lot of idle time. But on boss fights the bosses had nothing for the most part but slow telegraphed moves(Complete with a cast notification). The most dangerous things they often did were slightly telegraphed auto-attacks, sometimes with multiple swings. But most of their unique cast abilities tended to just be sequences of free perfect dodge spam.

Haven't played FF+ mode but it doesn't sound like anything that really adds a lot of difficulty, just moves some numbers around. I don't think I have any desire to play it after finishing the normal game proper. Definitely some room to expanded and improve the XVI combat system, though those deficiencies didn't really stop me from enjoying the game.

I'd actually say the + sidequests were more likely to be LESS interesting on the whole.

Yeah I thought the + sidequests were pretty boring. They were just collecting plants for supplies or things for a bigger bag or similar.

They werent as interesting character-wise as most of the regular side quests.

Well what's easier for you to deal with, either feel guilty for a minute or experience uncomfortable social anxiety for a day.

Personally the guilt would fade pretty quickly, so I just wouldn't go.

I'm looking at it the opposite. The uncomfortable anxiety you know lasts for a day. But the guilt you never really know until it happens.

We're adults with somewhat busy lives and things to take care of, and we can manage our free time however the fuck we want.

Like, circumstances here are just on the edge of me pulling this card.

But these are people that were mostly good to me when I was younger. It is just over the line of where I'd feel guilty doing it.

This isn't something I would do normally and I am currently all sorts of anxiety ball.

My parents met up with parents of someone I was sort of friends with way way back through pre-high school baseball so naturally they were friends because parents of kids playing baseball are all friends or some shit. But these are the people everyone loses touch with when the activities stop. They met up at some place coincidentally last week and arranged a family-family get together that I am now roped into. Yes, I could say no but this crosses just slightly past the threshold of how willingly rude I am willing to be.

People that last knew me when I was like 16 and probably had all sorts of expectations of me that there is no way in hell I meet at all and I hate talking about me. I'm not a social butterfly and something like this has never really come up for me but brings up all sorts of existential anxiety dread.

I mean, its probably fine. I'm probably freaking out for nothing. But also about as far from a social situation I would put myself in as it gets. I like being a blank slate to people, or someone that people know in some way at least decently well. But having to fill in a bunch of blanks from A to B(For what I now realize is over half my life) scares the hell out of me on some level.

And I don't even know at this point the type of people I'm running into. 20 years is a long time. The world is different from 20 years ago.

It's not about being in total control, just about who's responsible. When you blame neighbors for your dog getting out and getting run over by a train, you're passing the responsibility over your dog to strangers. Explain why that's ok.

Explain it really slow and pedantically. This might be something obvious to dog people but it's legitimately foreign to me and others.

I don't know that there was all that much of a debate. And frankly, I'm not entirely interested.

I don't intend to discuss beyond saying it is inconsiderate to be launching fireworks off on days where fireworks are not typically expected. And I'm not really a fan of them beyond that because my pets are family and fireworks make them deeply upset.

If you want some slow pedantic debate about the impact of fireworks on animals there is plenty of shit you can look up on the internet.

My kid's behavior is unpredictable too but I'm uncontroversially responsible for everything they do and everything that happens to them.

I never said every dog owner is like this.

Also you aren't training your (average) dogs for fireworks. Even some of the most well-trained dogs often struggle to maintain composure at a certain point.

Yeah victim blaming would be blaming the dog. If you have a dog that is skittish you need to be a responsible pet owner about it.

It can both be sad that the dog died, and true that if something happens ever single year without fail on July 4th, it should be accounted for by responsible pet owners.

If you aren't responsible it can still be tragic, but it isn't the neighbors fault when the same exact action took place on that day for the last 50 years.

This is also ignorant of the fact that dogs do in fact change as they age. You never know when just getting scared of fireworks is going to turn into desperation.

My last dog was as mellow as she could be, never could hurt a thing, not destructive at all.

One fourth of July, she was about 10 or 11, she was outside for a few hours while we went to the beach. She chewed up the wooden door leading back into the house. Completely chewed through it and got indoors. She'd been outside every 4th as we'd go to the beach in the morning and then come back just a bit before evening.

Luckily she just chewed her way indoors, not anywhere dangerous. But if this were someone elses dog and maybe it was a wood gate out of the yard into the street, different story.

When I was a child, thanks to The Little Mermaid, I thought fireworks caused thunderstorms.

Also, people cant expect others not to have fun on July 4th just because their dog is scared of noise. Thats what the veterinarian and Alprazolam are for.

Past that date, sure, you guys have a point, but no fireworks ever because it might inconvenience me personally is main character syndrome.

If people are doing fireworks it better be 4th of July or a local team better have won a championship(Celebrating the ability to finish in 2nd place or worse is lame).

But people have started doing this shit for a week and it sucks.
