Unless it's disruptive on a national level with a major percentage of the population participating in it, and/or it incorporates violence in some way, protests are not going to work. Even with the latter there's no guarantee it will achieve its goals.

If change happens, and there was one or more protests involved at some point leading up to it, then there's no reason to say that protest "didn't work".

In general, saying protests don't work is unprovable at best, defeatist and subversive at worst.

There's never a guarantee of success, but it is one of our few rights as a population, and should be exercised.

The "true" version is the Switch version. Other versions have different physics or containers.

Yeah it just seems that transitions are eliminated in the actual missions.

Finished St. Edgar's Eve. The transition there is the door to the Factory, and also the exit back out of the Factory on the second floor.

Okay it seems all City areas still have transitions, but the Rutherford Castle did not. Normally there's a transition point in that long hallway in the middle.

Unless, I guess, you didn't turn it on.

Okay on Mission 2 and the coolest thing this mod did so far is remove the transitions between areas. Everything's connected now and it's wild.

Yeah like that above poster said, "time is exploding what do we do!!!" has been dragging for way too long. I worried it was gonna be the whole season.

Having said that, it appears to have finally exploded. We have to wait an episode to see what happens, but sample size so far will indicate there will be nothing actually damaging about the time explosion. But as my magic 8-ball would say, outlook is bleak.

My money's on "we go back to a few days ago and get another shot at it".

Yeah this is my problem with this season. Season 1 had a very obvious driving question: what is the TVA and who's really in charge? They had the side dish of "ooo Variants means new takes on existing characters! It's mostly Loki but that's still pretty cool!"

Season 2 starts with "uh oh time is exploding!" which is not something people can grasp so it's poor stakes.

And I thought we'd resolved that when Mobius went out there and I'm like "Okay now this season's plot can REALLY begin" and we're like "okay maybe this is Kang's origin, or just another variant? Eh, whatever, we have characters in slightly different circumstances so that's kind of nice I guess"

And then we're back to "uh oh time is exploding!" and I don't really care because any character interaction has become centered around this problem as opposed to learning about characters growing and changing with each other.

And then we're like "oh is this how Ravonna and Kang get together, referential to the comics?" and then one episode later "Nah, turns out she doesn't like him, she's pissed and now just wants to use him, and then it turns out their actual relationship was in the past with the He Who Remains variant and you think that does something but the Loki has X-5 just prune her bye".

Also I don't expect that pruning of Ravonna to stick. It's too abrupt. When they get their next shot at this, Ravonna will have something changed in her timeline.

My prediction is that all these episodes will be either cyclical or focused around breaking said cycle, but to get it one episode at a time is kind of poor structure because ultimately you have an episode where "not the entire thing" happens.

Ke Huy Quan keeps me coming back but even his adorability can only carry the show so far.

Yeah, the controls are a little goofy, but not totally unpleasant. I'm only playing in first-person POV, but maybe the weird "steering" is easier to pick up in third-person.

Was entirely implemented because Eidos wanted it on consoles, and because that's how Splinter Cell did it.

As I recall, if you play TDS on Xbox, 3rd person is the default perspective.

But playing T1 and T2 I can move in ways that would seem like I'm crawling on the ground, or edging around on the floor like a worm sometimes, the kind of things you can imagine given an immersive first-person experience with a somewhat disconnected perspective.

TDS gives you much more body awareness.

Heck there's a flatten-on-walls function, which you almost never use. They teach it to you in the tutorial level, but either the tutorial is skipped in Expert or just removed entirely with the Sneaky mod.

Also Garrett looks kind of hideous in 3PP.

That said you're reminded very quickly in Deadly Shadows that you're not controlling Garrett so much as you're "steering" him.

What we know about Dragona:

Jodio calls them his "bro".
Dragona speaks in feminine language.
Dragona had work done on their boobs.

Given the structure of the Japanese language, those are all the clues we have to go on. Japanese doesn't have "pronouns" in the way English does. The grammatical clue is that Dragona uses Japanese language typically associated with femininity, but not necessarily exclusively used by women.

That's weird, right?

Tim Curry is amazing but yeah not the best choice for Joker lol.

Whos to say though, maybe thats just from years of being used to Marks Joker.

Both of these. Tim Curry could have settled into the role and if we had years and years of that as reference, he could have still been memorable.

But we'll never truly know, because we had Mark Hamill.

Don't know why you think people can't learn Japanese themselves and make their own decisions.

Ultimately you can hate localization all day and that's your right. You can want better localization and that's your right too.

But pretending modern localization isn't proper unless it's been approved by the original creator is gatekeeping.

The SECOND half.

First half is... ultimately... annoying. I like the idea of making stuff, but I don't like how you have to be constantly sneaksie while doing so. Sneaking to get the plans and the supplies is fine, but I'd prefer much less resistance where the machines actually are.

But the second half, where you've basically got a bunch of mini-challenges to get to each tower, is awesome. Soulforge is SO HUGE that it honestly seems such a great challenge based on size alone.

I saw Drive My Car in the theaters and it was fantastic so I don't know which video Robo watched to convince him that one subtitle take is better than another.

Hell, the central setting of the main part of the movie is a production of a crack localization of the Russian play Uncle Vanya, where every actor speaks a different language.

Localization is beautiful and an art of itself. Pissing on it just rubs me the wrong way.
