Someone's gonna have to actually fucking give him punishments with teeth or this shit is going to eventually unravel the entire legal system by playing such blatantly different rules for him than any other American, even if this fucker is a former president.

Jumping straight to the harsher punishments will guarantee at a minimum a bunch of appeals that could be potentially upheld depending on who hears the case.

The judge knows what their doing. Just be patient.

Well, New Hampshire law says it must go first. Other states could pass the same laws if they wanted.

South Carolina has no good reason to go first, but it saved Biden's campaign after his devastating losses in Iowa/New Hampshire/Nevada, so the DNC put it first at Biden's request to ensure that future candidates similar to Biden start with an advantage instead of a disadvantage. Thats a terrible rule for the 99.607% of the US population who is not a part if the largely white, largely rural NH population. And SC uses caucuses so they arent limited to the same rule for early starts.

Biden is playing this perfectly. I cant tell whether hes threatening Hamas or Israel to chill out by going to visit. By personally taking charge of our interests he reasserts the United States own prerogative to rescue its people. Which in a third country is just as strong as Israels.

It also lets him serve as a human barometer for the jntentions of Hamas and Hezbollah. If they can behave with the POTUS in country then that sets a good tone for an exchange.

Louisiana had a 2 term Democratic governor. It's winnable.

Its generally been a reliably red state. Trump carried it by 19 points.

But post Roe v Wade I agree it should have been winnable. Everything should.

If you look at how theybe operated so far its pretty clear that rescuing hostages is a secondary object.

With the presence of the tunnels theres no way to clear Gaza house to house because youd just keep getting hit from behind unless you repeatedly flatten areas with bunkerbusters. Which arent guaranteed to be successful at the depths some of them go.

This feels like theyre going to run out the clock, somehow portray the remaining hostages dead, and then flatten areas from the air after ordering everyone out.
