Well The Girl Without Hands successfully feeds the baby only after she drops the golden hands, right? I think the contrast between her not being able to do it (and how much that upsets her) with the hands, then being able to do it without them, serves to reinforce the idea that the prince while well-meaning doesn't really understand what she needs when he gives her the golden hands, and how learning to get rid of them is part of her character arc about learning to live on her own.

I don't understand how having golden hands and not having them makes it any difference on holding the baby. Either way it's going to be difficult and if she literally just tried to do it with her hands and arms, she would have likely been successful.

It really just felt like a way to force these scenes into the movie when they didn't need to exist.

It's pretty interesting to see what things stand out to people, cus like. Sometimes there's a movie that has like one fart joke or like one poop joke.

It lasts 10 seconds and then it's done. There's 2 hours of movie to enjoy, but people will single out that one specific moment and say that it ruined the movie for them and that they can't stand the character.

I suppose specific things just ruin things for specific people. Pointless animal abuse and overly excessive bodily functions are things that very much bother me I suppose!

I don't think it's a nudity problem. I think I just don't understand the purpose of the nudity or think the scenes are simply there because they can and want to make it more artsy or mature. I think it's a weak card to pull when it serves no purpose.

What bothers me especially about the Girl without hands scenes was that they meant absolutely nothing. She really really wanted to be able to feed her baby and couldn't. That's the whole thing right?

I get that.

And then, literally like 10 minutes later, she's giving her milk to her baby anyways so like, what the hell was even the point? This whole thing includes killing the baby fawn for absolutely no reason as well. The scenes exist because the director wanted people to see this girl squeezing her breasts a bunch and this dude killing a baby animal for no reason, that's it.

I didn't mention this in my write up, but Waltz has something similar that Red touched upon. There was a scene at the beginning with him remembering killing a bunch of dogs that really didn't serve any purpose at all. I give this one a bit more of a slide because it ties into trying to recover the lost memories but I still hated that scene.

All this Gabby, Perrito and Mr. Piranha and Abuela slander when Ne Zha exists.

The eye scenes happen thrice and last 10 seconds a piece, or less. (I don't care for them either for the record), but at least the 2nd leads to a fantastic line by Kitty. And the third leads to him actually pulling it off and a good reaction from Jack Horner.

Meanwhile breast squeezing in Girl Without Hands goes on for like 2 minutes but everyone is A OK with that.

Perrito isn't out of place at all. His presence is absolutely needed especially in the Puss + Kitty grouping. Both of them are too serious and have problems of their own that they can't figure out without Perrito's help. Saying that he's out of place means you literally do not understand the movie or the characters. But that's okay, because you rarely do.

Perrito is fantastic and all you who slander him are horrible horrible people.

I made it into the bottom half of Outlier! There's a first time for everything!

Both Puss and Marona are such fantastic movies. Well done everyone!

Belle (the song, not the characterbut also the Belle) could learn a lot from this song.

Oh fuck off Vis. Belle is 100000x better as a song than Madrigal. I'd even say the opening song gave such a sour taste in my mouth that it took at least 20-30 more minutes of watching to recover from.

I was oh so close to predicting the top 5 accurately. And The House literally got 6th. I didn't expect so many others to enjoy Marona as well so I'm glad at that surprise.

I would very much enjoy that.

Pinocchio SHOULD be dropping next, JB's over trashing of Bad Guys was enough to put Pinnochio just over it, so well done with that JB, I guess.

And if it doesn't, I'll be sad because I'm very curious to see who won the Marona vs Encanto battle as their scores would be separated by 3 points.
