It was...interesting. I feel like the setup to get to Sugar himself took up most of the movie. Setting and backgrounds and style for the movie was great. Really fast pace, dialogue driven movie that didn't really let you breathe which was very interesting.

I'm waiting for 2025. Google is still using the shitty Samsung Exynos chips for their tensor that is not efficient and overheats easily. They said they'll switch to fully in house with TSMC chips in 2025 so I'll probably wait for that. I also just recently got the nothing phone 2 and besides camera/zoom capabilities I'm quite satisfied.

Ah okay thanks for elaborating. Well he still seems like an upright fella. Kinda what I like about him and Schultz. Even tho Schultz goes hard on the roasting, he at least tries to play cool with the audience sometimes and he's knowledgeable about a lotta cultures. Troy just seems so tryhard and edgy when he's roasting and a lotta the jokes missing for me doesn't help.

First one is Troy Bond. Idk what exactly it is about him but...I'm not feeling him. His jokes are more miss than hit, and then running into multiple clips of him screaming SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! to hecklers was just...really off putting. Like...if you're a crowd work specialist...then shut them down with your jokes. Don't turn into some petulant child and shout at them.

Matt Rife has been the opposite. Really witty, really quick. And just overall seems to have good vibes. I haven't seen a lot of clips with him and hecklers but I think it's more because he doesn't roast the audience as hard and again, just seems to be overall more good vibes type dude.

I don't have the biggest knowledge of crowd workers. Don't even know if Matt Rife counts as one. Only really knew of Andrew Schultz from before and he was really good imo

it's creepy because a younger girl falls for an older man who saves and protects her? that's literally the premise of the entire thing. he cares about her and wants to save her life, but not in any romantic or sexual way. he also thought he was an emotionless killer before meeting her, so finding someone to care about that wasn't a plant was a major shock to his life.

the creepy part is that everyone here sees "young girl, old man" and immediately goes to bad thoughts. but that's also actually the purpose of the movie, too. it's commentary on how people immediately judge situations.

and lmao at the idea that gary oldman's character is the "best person" in the movie. he's literally a crooked drug addicted cop who has no remorse when killing families and children. the fact that anyone would see him as "better" than Leon is the most laughable thing here.

No the creepy part is how the movie is a projection of the director's life and how he "got" with a 15 yr old when he was 32 or so (I say "got" because they met when she was 12 so who knows when they actually started dating) and then knocked her up almost immediately.
