My quality of life having started watching this show has decreased, but my fortitude has risen.

I know people don't want to admit it because they respect HK so much, but we ARE approaching Silksong as a punchline territory here.

Honestly I assume it's a little Column A, a little Column B.

Maybe without Nintendo at their heels they can actually put out a competent product again.

I originally bought 7R out of spite lol. I had no intention of buying it, but then the day it came out all the FF7 fans were pissed and I thought it all sounded hilarious.

It was a bonus that I ended up loving the game. Not the first time that's happened!

I'm predicting XVI to be the first single player mainline FF game I personally think is truly great since FFVI, so let's just say my expectations for it are....unfair, lol.

Will only be watching the DC films here. Not saying they'll be the best ones in here, but realistically I just know that's what's gonna happen, I don't watch a lot of movies.

I have cooled a ton on Nolan which is a real shame. When everyone was heaping praise on Dunkirk I felt like I was crazy, I almost fell asleep and would have walked out if I wasn't with a friend. However I have enjoyed the conspiracy theories that Oppenheimer is going to secretly be some time traveling insanity movie that's hiding it all from the marketing.

BotW is like Hades for me.

Here's this game that obviously a ton of people love and the people who like this kind of game are ecstatic. Me, I hate it, I know I'm in the minority but I just can't stand it. However, it's no big deal, because the people making these games basically never do direct sequels, so I can hold out for the next one.

Then both of them announce their next game is a sequel to the previous game that I fundamentally did not like, and there's really nothing that can be improved to MAKE me like them without complete changing the game's core.

So now instead having to wait 3-5 years for the next entry I'll enjoy from this studio, I have to wait potentially 7-10.

And there's a lot of salt there.

Odyssey is amazing and BotW is terrible has potentially killed the Zelda franchise if it becomes the blueprint moving forward.

As far as what's currently announced, I think the AotY competition is already happening this season between Gundam, Oshi no Ko, and Heavenly Delusion

Frieren could be in the running depending on how it's paced and adapted.

I didn't realize S;G was taking it home that cleanly. Hard to keep track in a Save My.

Both winners would have been great but I'm still glad my choice won! S;G takes my #1 slot even outside this, other than arguably Baccano.

Baccano's success continues to astound considering there hasn't been a legal way to watch the show in 7 years without a UK bluray player, but I'll take it. Just goes to show how much play it got here.

In my experience, the Asa haters are the Chainsaw Man fans who didn't actually understand Chainsaw Man and just want it to be radical gory action schlock. They see Denji as The Doom Guy.

In a vacuum this could be fun.

In reality it would all be Illumination.

I do not believe Illumination is capable of making any of the movies that would be in the highest demand. Was this move fine? Yeah, fine, by Illumination standards quite good even, their best movie! It's also basically the same as all their other movies.

Would you want a Metroid or Zelda movie with the same tone as the Mario movie, voiced by celebrities and with licensed pop songs? Because that IS what you would get.

Chainsaw Man is an exquisite series.

It gets tons of haters now that it's super popular, but those peope are idiots and never have anything of substance to complain about.

I would highly advise seeking out Fujimoto's other content as well.

Hogwarts Legacy, a well received AAA game with one of the most popular IPs in the world, infinite marketing, sold gangbusters....and nobody remembers, cares about, or will ever talk about it again.
