People like the TC lack fundamental knowledge of astrophysics, or they are true believers.
If there was an alien species that could travel faster than light they would have a vast vast knowledge of physics, quantum physics, astrophysics, chemistry, metallurgy, etc.
So what is more plausible, somehow they are terrible pilots or they don't have a cloaking device and they keep getting caught? Or, what people think are aliens are computer malfunctions or other explainable phenomenon?
