2 days later, the swelling had subsided substantially, the patient was still alive but just hanging on. Doctors were able to perform the surgery now, but without anesthesia, the patient would have to be awake through the whole procedure. Removing the gummy mass was pretty straight forward, they cut into the patient's intestines, scooped out the gummy, disposed of it, and sewed him back up. Reattaching the arms however, they noticed a problem. The ligaments and tendons were gone. The bones couldn't be reattached. This puzzled the medical staff. Surely the tendons should be there, it should be possible to put his arms back on. But then they noticed it, what they couldn't see through all the bloated organs and inflamed muscle. Every single one of his bones had become loose and were free roaming throughout his body. His ribs had punctured his vital organs, his limbs were like jelly, the bones no longer able to provide structural support. How could this have happened, how did doctors miss this?

The patient is prepped for surgery, and is administered general anesthesia. But, a new problem arises. Unbeknownst to the medical staff, the patient is actually allergic to the anesthesia - it didn't come up in his medical history -, everywhere the anesthesia travels to in his body, the muscles become inflamed and swell to enormous proportions. His throat has swelled to 20 times its normal size, shattering his jaw, and putting immense pressure on his brain, rendering the patient unconscious. All the medical staff can do is treat the swelling and wait.

The undigested gummy bears had come together into a single mass inside the patients digestive tract. His intestines stretching and bloating, crushing the surrounding organs. But his arms were still not reattached, and the window to act was quickly closing. The medical staff knew in order to save the patients life they would need to perform two surgeries at once, one to reattach his arms, and two to remove the gummy mass from his body.

Yeah that chocobo hunting I did? Did not work. Clasko opened the Fiend Den. He did not open the maze, and I did every step correctly. It wouldn't take long to get a couple more chocobos and try it again since I have so many at each level, but just god damn what a stupid quest.

The iron lung seemed to be working, oxygen and CO2 were being exchanged in the patient's lungs, so then why were the kidneys failing? This shouldn't be happening, but perhaps there was a clue in the 33 packets of gummy bears the patient consumed for breakfast the day before.

Is it possible Alexander the Great was actually a visitor from beyond Earth?! Some experts say maybe!

If the problem exists in his lungs, why did his arms fall off? Whatever is wrong with him, this is a big clue for the medical staff.

I feel like the reddit community exists just to complain, without understanding what it is they're complaining about. People are like "why does this trade loop exist?! this is fucking useless! Mojang doesn't know what they're doing!" whereas I look at this and go "oh so all I need to do is make 4 pairs of boots, do some trades and I have a full set of armor for 2/3 the cost of a set of armor. That's a damn good trade!"

I think a lot of the problems that FFXIV is facing right now stems from the pandemic, and lockdowns and all of that. Endwalker has shaped up to be the weakest expansion so far, but I'm hoping Dawntrail can avoid a lot of the problems Endwalker has had. It's a general lack of content to keep you occupied, and the content they do release gets chewed through extremely quickly. And idk how many here have done any Savage raiding in Endwalker. Savage has been a damn mess all expac. From bizarre to outright bad fight and mechanic design, to reused mechanics and animations, non-existent balance, bugs out the wazzoo. Like I said, I think the problem is that this content was designed during covid, I'm hoping Dawntrail is a return to form. The game isn't bad, it's just currently going through rough spot.

Never used a PS4 controller but can't speak for that. My PS5 controller, the right stick started drifting about 7 or 8 months after I got it. Usually only starts to drift if I've been using it every day. If I don't turn the console on for a couple weeks, the controller is fine for a couple play sessions before it starts to drift again.

No, FFXIV is still going strong, and they've said they have plans for further expansions and features for about 10 years. I don't doubt there will be another FF MMO eventually, but now is not the time.

Leveled all the librarians to Master. Got some decent trades out of it, kinda considering getting more librarians in here to try and get better trades. Leveled up a bunch of Clerics, Fletchers, Farmers and Masons too. Mostly just as a means to get emeralds. Most of which I'm gonna spend on enchanted books for all the trimmed armor sets I'm going to make, but I should try and save some for an emerald beacon. I'll play more on Thursday I think, I'll start getting more ancient debris!

Finally finished that villager trading hall, started doing a bunch of trades to level up villagers, I also got librarians with all the base enchanted books I wanted. These are all of the emeralds I've made tonight just selling random crap I have no other use for. I should have done this a year ago. x_x

It took like 10 hours over multiple play sessions to get three chocobos capable of getting to level 5. Each character gained like 25 levels. Mastered multiple jobs. Hundreds of thousands of Gil obtained. And now I have the fun task of sending the birds out, hoping they come back, leveling them up, repeating until Clasko opens the maze. x_x

I recognize there are/were problems with ARR/HW MSQ(a lot of this stuff has since been reworked, and a lot of the filler has been cut out.) But I still enjoyed it, ARR felt like going on adventure in a silly fantasy world, with some sprinklings of more serious political and darker fantasy elements, and HW was a more serious mature story. But, you're right, ARR is the weakest part of the MSQ. And modern FFXIV has its own problems, which I suspect stem from covid, but I'm hoping Dawntrail is a return to the Stormblood/Shadowbringers form.

Are there any good Mario fan games? Over the weekend I played through SMB1, 2USA, 3 and today I'll play World. I'll try NSMB but I'll probably not stick with it cus I just find the NSMB games to be bland and unoriginal. And I don't really want kaizo, I think needing in depth knowledge of how SMW is coded in order to play is garbage design, I want a fan made Mario game that actually feels like Mario.

Honestly if people tell me that it takes 20/30/50/whatever hours for the game to get good, I basically just go "so you're telling me I have to slog through multiple real world days worth of shit to get to the good bits?" then the designers probably fucked up somewhere.

Honestly if I were to make an RPG, the story would be bare bones and the focus would be the combat. Like, the story wouldn't be very long, maybe like 8-10 hours, but then there would be like 8-10 hours of optional difficult postgame content.

I hear this game has a lot of design problems, like copy pasted dungeons and towns, and exploration is just straight up bad and you might see something outside the bounds of your explorable area and you have to leave, move over a couple grid spaces, land again, then you can go there. Instead of the whole planet just being open to explore.

Yeah there are a few houses around me that every time I walk by them play the "Hi! You are currently being recorded!" message, and I can even hear it when I'm across the street. Makes me wonder how many cameras are recording me and aren't playing that message.

Built a brown mushroom farm at the sniffer farm. About 100 blocks tall, took every brown mushroom I had to seed it. Gonna afk for a few hours and see what it gets me. Built a 2 minute hopper clock and pulse extender and it seems to be working, mushrooms are appearing in the chests, so I guess it works! Also I should be getting some bonemeal while Im there, not a whole lot though, I should keep building the cactus farm, but some other time, this mushroom farm took me all afternoon.

I rewatched the Direct, and watched some breakdowns/missed things stuff, I am very excited for this game. It looks like it will be the best 2D Mario game since 3 and World. I almost want to go radio silent on this game because seeing what I've seen, I want to leave some things to be a surprise.

Wut. The sentiment I'm seeing online is the game is bad because of the Dark Souls multiplayer. That was the stuff I paid attention to the least, multiplayer in platformers is almost always blegh. Everything else about the game had me very excited. Idk, Nintendo fans are weird, they get offended over the most pointless shit.

I keep thinking that mysterious blue flower/vine that Badgerman tweeted out several months ago just isn't coming. I'm actually starting to think that it was never truly planned for the game, it might have been something Mojang cooked up to catch the leaker.

Also I was thinking about it a while ago, so there's a shot in the first trailer with 4 Yoshis, but nobody is riding them. I wonder if instead Yoshi being a playable character that you can pick from like Mario or Peach, if it's actually a transformation. Because there's other shots where they're riding Yoshis. I just don't know what functional difference there would be between riding and being Yoshi.

Martinet is already confirmed to not voice Mario and friends in Wonder, but he'll probably be in the Direct to announce his retirement.

Also if the rumors are to be believed, this game is going to be more difficult than classic 8-bit Super Mario Bros. games.

The rumor is automatic crafting is coming in 1.21. I can't find the image now, but someone claiming to be an insider posted a picture of hoppers leading into and coming out of a crafting table. I don't fully believe it, but hey it's possible I guess. Only like a month and a half or so until Minecon or whatever the big yearly presentation is, so we'll see. Personally I'm hoping for an End update, or maybe we'll get that warm biomes update we were promised forever ago.

Edit: Oh and I haven't been posting any updates, but I did play a little Minecraft this weekend. Did a bunch of afk farming at the witch and slime farms. Started building a cactus bonemeal farm next to the sniffer farm. It's about 30 blocks tall, about 7 layers of cactus. My plan is to slowly work on it when I can until it's build height limit. After that I'm gonna build a mushroom farm to build height next to it, and probably also sugarcane. That way I can just afk farm a whole bunch of resources away from my base, since my base is so big and has so many entities that it's kinda laggy now, and having so many random ticks happening there would probably make it unplayable. lol I'll continue the netherite grind this week, I just have not had the time to do it for a couple weeks, and I want to do it.
