A majority don't fall for it but unfortunately we have the dumbest electoral system in the world so the majority doesn't win somehow.

There have been a couple of instances of this but most of the time, there is an obvious winner.

In regard to the post I commented on, many Americans choose to align themselves with a political party that expresses favor for their ethnic group. They are well aware that the conservative party is the racist party but will do their best to disregard that and talk about how they're voting republican because of economic benefits they gain.
The reality is, you are agreeing to promote racism so that you can get economic benefits. 100% FACT

Minorities make up less than 25% of the votes deciding an election so when there is a blatantly racist presidential candidate getting 50% of the votes, rest assured that its coming from at least 48% of the whites in America.

Folks get upset and say that I'm making it about race but it has never in the history of this country not been about race.

Another thing is, the average American has very little knowledge or care for the knowledge of what our international policies are doing to minority nations worldwide.

idk why it's so hard to believe someone can gain weight on purpose. i do it all the time because binge eating is fun and the consequences aren't enough to stop me, just like all of my other vices.

i also lose weight on purpose sometimes because being too fat is also not fun and it feels good to get in shape. i just don't want my whole life to be one or the other (yeah i'm terrible at moderation).

you definitely get treated differently when you're fat though. when i'm skinny the pizza man is like "you guys have a great night!" (it's just me lmao) and i get comments when ordering food like "wow you can eat all that?? amazing!". but when i'm fat it's a look of pity. i also feel like people are more likely to approach me, smile, etc when i'm a normal weight.

I should give more details about my weight gain so that folks don't get the idea like I was 150lbs and in a month went up to 250lbs.

I'm 6'4 and I've always been tall a slim. My regular weight was around 175lbs. Now that I'm a bit older, its settled at 185lbs.

About a month ago, I was watching tv and Oprah and a few other celebrities spoke about how their experience was different when they were slimmer than when they were heavier. It really made me think about the fat shaming I have done online and how I am disregarded and discounting people because of their weight. I decided to gain some weight by simply eating whatever I want, and stopping exercise. I ended up gaining 15lbs in that month and got some love handles.

Its not what others would call fat but folks who work with me and know me have always known me to be tall a slim so the extra weight was noticeable.

I could have asked people and gotten a secondhand account or experience it for myself. I also did it because I'm so confident and comfortable about myself, that gaining a few extra pounds and being ridiculed about it does not affect me the same way it would affect others. In addition, I also know some of these emotional abusers personally so it was quite amusing to see them behave as if they have a moral leg to stand on.

I needed to do so to see how folks, who I know personally, would react. It was surprising to see them assume a role of some type of moral superiority, when some of them are addicts, fraudsters, wife beaters etc.

That was the biggest take home for me. Having a few extra pounds somehow makes you lower than someone who somkes crack but has a 6 pack, or someone who does everything possible to not pay child support for their kids, but is in shape.

Before fat shaming others, look at yourself, you abusive husbands, alcoholics, womanizers, fraudsters etc.

Moral of all of this is, someone's excess weight makes them no less worthy than you are.

What's amusing is, I post about my experience of being fat shamed, only to get overwhelming responses of fat shaming on here.
And the folks doing it seem too dimwitted to realize that they are indeed fat shaming.

Me: "I gained weight on purpose to see if I would be treated differently, and I was."

CE: "No, you just let yourself go and overindulged."

Me: "I was surprised that my own relatives fat shamed me. Also, some individuals went out their way to ridicule me."

The problem is, some folks actually have a problem losing weight and become upset when someone mentions that they've purposely gained weight for whatever reason. They take it almost as if that person is trivializing their struggles to manage their weight.

Understand that that has never been my intention.

I will also admit that I use to be someone with very strong feelings about folks who are overweight. However, I never went out of my way to get in their faces and express disgust or disdain to them, which is what I experienced.

With a lot of folks, they are insecure with themselves. Seeing a fat person, someone they believe has a visible flaw, makes them feel better about their insecurities and themselves.
So they assume this "not fat" moral high ground.

Like I said, I was being ridiculed by addicts and others with glaring flaws that cannot be fixed with a diet or workout routine. Yet they felt like they had moral high ground.

I've experienced fat shaming from my relatives and strangers making less than subtle comments about weight and the need for exercise.

But what was most surprising is how your value as a person seerms to take a hit in that people disregard your intelligence and accomplishments and you become just another overindulgent fattie.

I've also discovered that folks with major personal flaws that most likely cannot be fixed with a diet or workout routine, assume some type of moral superiority over you because they're not overweight. Its comical and kinda sad to watch.
