At least in California, believe the rule is keep ammo and the fire arm in two separate compartments. Everyone's different, I have no idea where each person decides to settle and compromise. I can't outwardly judge them, I just don't want to be them - particularly the ones that bitch about their significant other regularly or visibly have an underwhelming lifestyle. I just don't believe I need something like that in my life just to no longer be single. I'd still want to be a parent, though. Help a kid find a better life, and by effect also someone that will inherit whatever I collected from the work grind of life. For a bit it seemed like the vocals were cooked at Bang Bang with how much volume they had and the onset of more cracks, but it's not like they actually fell off. That'd be a cool performance to hear in person. | KaZooo 09/21/23 9:25:11 AM #9 | I don't actually run a legitimacy test with people, but it's funny when you hear some people rave about some kind of fashion or brand in conversation, yet can never touch on anything beyond recent popularity.
Like, they spent all the money, don't even care to know anything being the brand or what inspired the current line exactly. They will play off easy descriptive terms to sound like they know what they're talking about, but they don't. Fashion can be a pretty deep topic, but so many people go about it blindly instead. I do have "loyalties" to certain brands because of functionality and sometimes nostalgia. No interest in whatever outside attention it may or may not draw. I've made myself aware of their politics and stains in reputation, and tie that into my expectations and knowing what to avoid with them. Glues and foams have gotten a bit better over the last decade, it seems. Time will tell, but from a few examples I've had, fuse construction does come apart. Knits don't unravel unless you subject them to a lot of abrasion If you wanted to stretch life, imo a stitched midsole and leather upper is the way to go, and replace insoles along the way. A lot of sneakers run garbage open cell foam sockliners that do nothing but get squished in a few wears. And so to make up ground for the two large units of debt in possible 6 digits, plus all the lost savings accumulation, I could not conceive dividends to this approach. Just knowing that experience carried more weight than education (I jumped two jobs very soon after landing the first role), I felt my odds were very low in seeing this pan out on top of netting a worthwhile salary premium to brings me back to where I left off.....while at the same time getting me to recover ASAP and putting me on track to buy a house and shit (which I still can't do). That unicorn of returns was not happening barring a miracle. The way the world works, no one gets that just because they went to grad school. I had a coworker who had a masters in Civic Engineering, making below median salary in the county altogether (not just his field). That was also very telling how there's no reliable correlation between academia and career prospects There's the key problems here, as we all know: the cost of living is increasingly increasing the job market is never "good" school costs a lot of fucking money a good share of the people making it are because of their network. Some get jobs they don't deserve from a performance standpoint, although the network is a grind in itself. So not to dwell in all this bad shit, because outside of it being an expression that I sympathize with what you're into, I'm not of any help. What would I do in your shoes? Consider retracing steps to where you left off, if there's any door open there that leads to growth. Hopefully there's something of a network to explore. In all honestly I think most people don't have a massive linkedin network, let alone one full of people that would actually help, but right now the goal is to get something to build off of maybe your back up is that. Understand the ugly reality: most of us don't do what we want career-wise. My compromise was I wanted a quality work environment, and no commute, and enough to just not be on the edge of finances. I'm fortunate that I got just that. Because from there I could just focus on just doing my job better to earn raises as I go.
