well yeah the majority of villains are bad people so they are anti woke by default as being woke requires being a decent person

it looks like nami will be with them for the walk to arlong park scene
i approve of nami taking a more active role in the big action scenes

it takes forever for her to get to her first real fight in the manga/anime

i honestly hope harley makes being part of the bat family work rather than give it up before the season is over to return to the status quo

This trend of adult comedies based off of old family friendly tv shows and cartoons is weird. It started with this, then Velma next is The Jetsons. Theres probably some that I missed.

i wouldnt compare harley quinn to velma
since the velma show sucked while the harley quinn show is actually good

and comics bounce between being kid friendly and more adult depending on the medium they are on

i havent watched them in years but i liked them
alyson hannigan had like 6 minutes of screen time in the movie but her one line most famous line was so memorable and so funny it made her the most important female character in the sequels

the show has been great so far

as a kid i always wished it had been sonya who fought reptile
cause she only got the one fight in the movie and lui kang and johnny cage already got to fight scorpion and sub zero so she should have gotten to fight the other ninja

in last action hero she played arnolds daughter but its not really a major role. she gets one cool scene and then kind of disappears from the story

apparently kitana was supposed to fight sheeva but that cut got for time so sheeva didnt get a fight

It's amazing how many critics didn't realize it was a parody. But I guess they didn't realize that for Robocop either. And I have seen way too many reviews of Blade Runner where they thought they replicants are robots when the literal opening text explains they are biological.

I think movies that require some level of thought often struggle critically because a lot of people who review movies aren't necessarily that bright.

like how critics complained that the josie and the pussycats movie had so much product placement when that was actually the joke
the movie was about how corporations manipulate youth to buy random trends and so they intentionally put blatant product placement in every single scene of the film
but critics refused to believe that a movie made for teenage girls could be clever

the novel its based on is not a parody but a legit love letter to extreme militarization

yeah mary kate and ashley built a fashion empire and hate their child actor past
it really did a number on both of them.

last i heard they arent just figureheads of the company but extremely involved in the process so the mass fortune they achieved was due to their own success in the fashion world not just their name on the brand

i do like the RNG nature of level ups
i mean on average you know how someone is gonna go because they have certain stats that have a high chance of going up but every so often the game throws you a curveball and makes great characters terrible and bad characters great

yeah one thing we have learned over the years is that sharks actually enjoy being petted just like dogs do
scientists use this to calm sharks down so they can tag them when researching them

i saw a video of someone pouring donated human blood into a school of sharks and the sharks had no interest in the human blood at all.

looking back at the old fire emblem games ive noticed female lords tend to get shafted a bit
like lyn is the protagonist for 10 chapters then gets replaced as the games lead
micaiah gets about half of the game to shine then ike takes over the story
eirika at least has a full story route to go through a whole game as her but you can choose to go down her brothers story and have her just be exactly like lyn. downgraded to sidekick

it was impressive since every actor actually played the instruments in the show. no faking was done
