I lived in nyc and I never cared for that kind of memorial. Instead nyc needed to repair the subway with that money.

oh you didn't like that area and left? i visited it this summer. What else were they supposed to do? they had to have some kind of memorial. Haven't read how much it costed to build though. Do you know?

yeah i kinda agree with this. If you say , oh it's my fault and i was wrong, and are met with contempt....then why bother?

I've done it before but haven't in a while, mostly because I didn't have a place to store the tools and jack. I have a garage now so maybe I'll get back into it next time.

No, I haven't been down there in a while.
I would like to go up the tower, but I kinda don't like that they turned it into a Disney ride.
Also, I heard it has a gift shop, which is a little weird.

A casino I used to audit had a Ruth's Chris so I've had dinner there on many occasions.

I can't really comment on the food since I'm a vegetarian. Their sides are fine I guess.

Probably unpopular, but nah. They make a lot of money, play for a few years, and the remainder of their life in most instances is severely impacted from injuries, concussions, and other issues that come along with it. I'm not gonna judge someone for putting a price on their long-term quality of life and what they feel sacrificing themselves is worth.

you can't think of any contract instances in the nfl where they held out and the player was wrong to do so?

a recent one in the news is bosa and most commenters did side with bosa doing that. Though there were some that did not support him. Do you believe it is ever wrong for nfl plyayers to hold out?

yeah but iirc many people think that most of the walmart managers are pretty incompetent. Probably an unfair and untrue stereotype.

People who are deliberately mean are worse. A person who simply doesn't know better can be encouraged to change.

read, at least a few people in this topic who say they meet mean people extremely , extremely rarely. Like one said he has never met a mean spirited person. Uh...i don't know.

Store Managers are probably generally competent. Running a big box retailer is a lot of work, there are a ton of different pieces that have to be factored in.

Below that the competency is probably less consistent.

..pretty competent at their job? Like Walmart or target...etc....If you can't say, for most stores then what has been your personal experience? I mean all the managers on avg. From store manager all the way to bottom rung managers

Hell customers can just openly steal and there is very little anyone can do about it. It's such a stupid place, I stayed at for too long.

Strong pro consumer laws in canada prevent this. Stores arent allowed to "not want to".

Whenever I disputed a return, as the Customer Service Supervisor, the Store Manager would always give in to the customer.

are you serious? what if it was a lot of money or the customer was clearly wrong ?

why should she even have to handle it all herself? maybe she doesn't have enough to pay for all of it herself. But even is she did, should she have to?

...or had situations that are similar to this.....Like where a customer might want to return something but the store doesn't want to and usually the store is clearly in the right about why they can't return something but the customer will keep on arguing why they should be able to return it and their arguments clearly make no sense and they are clearly in the wrong but they still continue to argue? Have seen this a bunch in retail.
