OK... So now Trump will be on trial:
* October 2nd, 2023 - New York State civil trial, brought by NY AG Letitia James. She wants $250 million and for the Trump organization to be barred from doing business in NY, along with her adult children. Ivanka Trump recently got dropped from this suit, though.
* March 25th, 2024 - Criminal trial in Manhattan, brought by Manhattan AG Alvin Bragg. 34 felony counts
* May 20, 2024 - Criminal trial in the southern district of Florida, brought by Jack Smith. 37 felony counts related to the stolen classified documents

And then we're still waiting on federal indictments for January 6th as early as next week, and then indictments in Georgia in the next 28 days or so.

To give you an idea of how orks work, if they painted racing stripes on their vehicles... the vehicles will go faster. They believe so strongly that racing stripe = fast that they basically magically will the effect to occur.

They travel in patchwork ships that are basically welded together from scrap and the only reason that they don't all die the second they leave orbit is because they believe it works, so it does.

fantasy plays by different rules now in age of sigmar and there are pantheons of gods/godlike figures that stand in opposition to chaos (and each other)
order (stormcast eternals, dwarves, sylvaneth, etc.) death (undead, vampires, nagash's legions etc.), destruction (orcs, goblins, ogres, etc.) and chaos are the major players in fantasy now

Ahh interesting - Warcraft's lore change has been somewhat similar over the last five - six years

and in 40k, not all of the factions are corruptible
its more likely nids will eat everything than chaos will win out IMO, and orks are nigh impossible to eradicate without literally destroying the planet since they reproduce via spores that they not only constantly release, but release en masse when they die

Can Tyranids and Orks transport between planets easily enough for a few eggs/spores to infect/take over a whole planet?

I played Warhammer fantasy tabletop a bit in the late 90s, so learned a bit of the lore of both but this is good to watch later!!

Broad question though - in both settings it seemed Chaos would eventually win just because the "source" of it could never be stopped/defeated. It might take a long time but eventually everything would succumb...is that accurate?

also, i said in the other topic that i'd be ok with them getting lesser sentences. i've since looked into it and have changed my mind. these aren't just randoms, like i had thought. they are people already well connected to the republican political machine. they knew exactly what they were doing. throw the book through them.

Starcraft was never supposed to be a Warhammer 40k game, they'd learnt their lesson, that's an urban legend mostly based on the above story (about Warcraft/Warhammer). Starcraft, very much... goes after a different source, Starship Troopers.

Also, in the original novel Starship Troopers (1959), there's three races -- the Skinnies (Tall grey beings who communicate psychically), The Arachnid/bugs (a communal species, that has biological castes and they won't hesitate to kill thousands of their own like we would use bullets to achieve an objective), and Humans (With giant Mech Tank Suits [ see below])... Does any of that sound familiar?
