Not just fine with him stealing, but fine with him remaining a cop.

Nothing around us is open 24 hours anymore. A few had stopped even prior to the pandemic, I'm assuming because staffing costs more than offset any profits they made.

A lot of other places are still running shorter hours than they were pre-pandemic as well. I think a lot of places realized they didn't take a substantial loss in sales with the shorter hours and they spent less on staffing.

I went with "I don't like coffee" but if I had to pick one I'd still probably go for plain coffee over most of those flavors.

Elon at least has other companies. Honestly I'm surprised there hasn't been a shareholder revolt at this point. Only a small percentage of stock is held by company insiders, the bulk is owned by financial institutions and I'm surprised they are still putting up with this shit show.

FTFY. The fact that other products exist specifically for this purpose means not all cat and dog owners are relying on grocery bags.

One of the chains near us did this a year or two ago. No plastic bags at all and you have to pay 5 cents for a paper bag. We've been using reusable bags for a while now, so no real issue for us, but I haven't really heard anyone complaining while I've been there either.

I liked all three movies in that series though the 2nd one was kind of a misstep. They tried so hard to pretend that the bad guy wasn't Kahn.

Especially since they had already decided it was an alternate timeline so they really could have gone in a different direction.

He isn't getting 12 years in prison, that is the maximum he faces for the charges and Trump is facing way more than that in any of his four indictments. The guy was also out on $10k bail the day after he was arrested.

Not saying there still isn't a difference in treatment, they didn't give him days of notice so he could plan out his bail in advance, but it is a bit different when you aren't indicted by a grand jury first.

Best guess is that it will turn into another debt ceiling issue where they keep passing piecemeal bills to keep the lights on for another year.

Doubtful. I don't think either party will be able to pull together sufficient support to take any kind of meaningful action.

Anyway, they generally have the title in a pinned comment for those types of channels.

I wouldn't consider mine Mandela effect. I didn't have a memory of him dying or anything, he was just in an age group where I default to assuming they are probably dead and I just forgot.

I've never used one, but I'm fairly sure they do have dual adapters with a female 3.5 audio jack and a female usb-c connector. It was a big deal when Apple first removed audio jacks so there was a lot of tech coverage on solutions.

Of course the only guy that actually ends up staying in jail in Georgia is black.

The Russians know no one believes those stories - that's the entire point.

They *want* people to know that crossing Putin means you will die quickly and violently. They *want* you to know they were involved. The fact they bother with lying about it is intended to be a bit of a slap in the face - it's their way of saying, "Yeah, this is a transparent lie, but we don't respect you enough to come up with something more believable, so deal with it."

It is actual part of the state constitution, so it would require an amendment. Not sure specifically what the process is in Georgia, but I'm going to guess it is not easy since most states follow a similar process to the US Constitution.

Nope, governor does not have pardon powers in Georgia and you are only eligible for a pardon 5 years after completing your sentence.

What are the requirements for a pardon in Georgia?
You must have completed all sentence(s) at least five (5) years prior to applying. You must have lived a law-abiding life during the five (5) years prior to applying. You cannot have any pending charges. All fines must be paid in full.

How early do you consider 'early morning'? I used to start at 6am, which meant getting up somewhere around 4:45.

After working in an office for 30ish years I have different language sets for in and out of work.

Yeah it is definitely not the same thing as a Switch or a Steamdeck so I'm not sure how much of a market there is going to be for it. Not saying there won't be one, just saying it doesn't fit the same niche as a dedicated handheld.

That is the most confusing part of this, I don't understand why he backed out. Once he made a move he had to know Putin wasn't going to let him live, so either don't start it to begin with or stick with it to the end.

It tastes good but they are way too stingy with the scoops. They're not even full scoops.

My main complaint with them is the quality is very inconsistent, not just between stores, but even with different staff at the same store.

I don't know that I've ever bought a record and I'm old enough that it was a viable option when I was younger. If I have it was a VERY long time ago.
