what also takes away their pricing power is the fact that 20 year old games are still fun as hell to play, and can be played offline. We have and endless collection of games that one person couldnt possibly play. These days im more interested in those compared to the slop studios have been producing. And when I hear about their scummy plans to move us all toward streaming I spend even less money on new releases.

it also sounds like it could be prevented with infrastructure changes. The more likely outcome is a brown out that makes us more aware of the threat, and then we gradually invest in infrastructure changes because of it. I think a complete and total obliteration of our network is the least likely outcome. Theres already redundancy built into a lot of our grids too.

Sounds like it would fry the power grid too. According to that article this happened in the 1800s and telegraph operators were electrocuted. Thats fucking crazy.

Record high interest rates, while temporary and done for the right reasons, are crippling new home and car purchases. So people tend to not like when they cant buy stuff for obvious reasons.

I like keeping a huge gap between cars but other than that Ill likely speed if cars are flying by me over and over. Its arguably safer in that situation.

My salary has increased 25% since the very beginning of the pandemic. The estimated cost of my home has increased 80%. Not to mention interest rates skyrocketing. Lets say I didnt already own a home. Well then my cost of living would skyrocket as well. And thats completely ignoring food costs.

Halo 2. Good single player. But the online play was terrible compared to Halo 1 xbconnect.
