That's actually not clear. It's possible, but there's plenty of evidence suggesting that Holden isn't really human.

Great game, but why do Mario games still have a run button? Constantly holding it down hurts my thumb after a while, and the level design is obviously built around the assumption that you're always running.

Surprisingly tough choice. Differences in power levels aside, these two have a lot in common. I'm just not sure a weaker Morgoth would be quite as brutal as Holden. Most of Morgoth's evil deeds are carried out by his underlings; it's hard to say how far he would go if was more personally involved.

This is the real problem people had with the BCS. Two teams out of 120+ making the "playoffs" just isn't anywhere near enough for the system to seem fair. Forget mid-majors, there were multiple years where an undefeated power conference team didn't make the championship.

Great idea, but some simple changes would make it perfect.

1) We should also give the coaches a vote in these rankings. Obviously they would be great at figuring out which teams are the best, and surely we can trust them to avoid any personal bias in their decisions.

2) If the computer algorithms ever disagree with the reporters/coaches, they should be changed going forward because the computers must be the ones getting it wrong.

Playoffs are a terrible way to determine the best team, but they're way more fun that just checking the standings at the end of the season. The whole point of professional sports is to be entertaining. Arguing against playoffs because they aren't "fair" is missing the point entirely.

If you're looking at prerelease hype you've got a supposedly high priority lavishly produced Sonic game with the confidence to straight up call itself "Sonic the Hedgehog" up against Mario but with waggle motion controls.

Also worth noting that Sunshine was the most recent 3D Mario at that point. Can't really blame someone for having low expectations for the series after that.
