The last time I passed through Oregon I crossed in from California and asked if it was okay to pump my own gas because an attendant approached me while I was starting to pump it. They said it was fine? So I just pumped my own gas in Oregon. The tank was enough to carry me through to Washington.

The first time i had oysters i had a raw one and a baked one.

The raw one tasted like salt water boogers. The baked one was just awful so i wrote them off.

Couple years later a friend had a gathering and baked oysters he had picked up and omg they were delicious.

Wife and i both have decent pension plans and i max out my sons education savings plan each year. Havent quite maximized RRSP and TFSA contributions yet.

I would say Dragon Quest V, but the amazing story will be more fulfilling when hes older.

Really appreciate this, as he plays piano and loves learning Mario and Zelda music. He recently had a piano recital where he played the mario theme and it was a big hit.

My sons birthday is coming up this week and he loves Zelda. However im gonna try getting him introduced to turn based rpg. My initial thought based on subject matter is FFIX but open to other ideas.

He has a switch and access to my ps5.

And hes getting Breath of the Wild. Once he finishes ill probably get tears of the kingdom for christmas

I kinda just miss turn based RPG's. I tried to enjoy FFXII and FFXIII but... i dunno.

Yakuza: LaD really rekindled what I'd been missing, recently. Combined my love of the Yakuza series with the turn based RPG fun of the games I grew up with.

my career job is stable and I've had decent success moving up over time.

Part time jobs have been pretty easy to get on the side. In my case I began my side-gig with one of the biggest names in the country, and dropping the name of my teacher/mentor has been like a gold card.

Not particularly hard when you're married.

About 5 years before my dad was diagnosed with dementia i remember a christmas dinner where id had a bit to drink so he drove my manual transmission car to drop some family off at home while i rode along. He was horrible! Kept riding the clutch or stalling it or grinding gears. Looking back it was a sign but i remember thinking "wtf you taught me how to drive manual, why do you suck now?"

Sometimes its getting old. Sometimes its something else.

I think they should drive the other way around the track because i dont like the idea of continuously going left!

I have the most embassing dirrahea at a strangers house story ever. I swear to god I will never live this down.

So I was visiting my friend Mary and we were supposed to go out for dinner that night. We had just mett recently and this was only our 2nd time hanging out. As we're getting ready to go out, I start feeling sick and ask to use her bathroom. I go in there and it starts flowing out like lava. And it's LOUD. Like TNT explosions. Like silverback gorillas banging on the walls loud. I was so embarssed!

Finally I hear a knock on the door and it's Mary, she asks if I'm okay and I try to cover by saying I'm just changing my pad. She's like "oh okay, well just don't use the toilet because it's broken right now, it doesn't flush." I don't remember what happened in the few minutes after that because I've either repressed it or I blacked out. I'm also not going to say what I did to get rid of the "soup" either because it's probably moddable.

The summer olympics were fun to watch. Was nice to see Donovan Bailey win the 100m dash and not get busted on doping like Ben Johnson in 1988.

Other than that the music was great and i went to Seattle for my Birthday.
