There are even reports of people's Google accounts being completely banned as a result, which would be a huge catastrophe for people who use Gmail and have a lot of stuff connected to it.

While it was huge, they could have leveraged that to make an animated series, and even some single-player spinoffs that explores and expands upon their world; I haven't played either Overwatch game because I don't like FPSes or exclusively-online shooters, but I would have probably been all over the spinoff if they were third-person action games or side-scrollers. I know that OW2 was supposed to have a story mode or such but it was unceremoniously cancelled despite that being the biggest selling point for OW2, which with the original OW now offline now seems like it exists as a scam to push players towards the more predatory microtranactions of OW2.
