I want to provoke thought about the reasons things aren't the way we want. It's likely self-evident to everyone here that advertising is a nuisance that lessens our enjoyment of media. But the sorts of regulations TC is describing aren't in place (though I think the sound thing was the subject of recent legislation) because capital doesn't want them.

It's one thing to see a problem, it's another to recognize its root causes.

It's worth asking: who wouldn't want to see this?

I think some people want more from the future than AI regurgitations of work that existed pre-2023
