Probably nothing will ever top the dumb I did a few years back. This was early in the top 10, like round 91-93. Kefka was looking very strong, and my save was free to snipe. I saved Barret after a NR had been offered for him, but didn't accept it because I wanted Barret to get through, too. Kefka was eliminated the next round. To top it off, if I remember right, Barret wasn't even my favorite left at that point and he got eliminated the next round.

Hell even this contest I messed up with him again. Was planning on letting Ashe go when needed to focus on Kefka at least until around the point Ashe eventually went out.

Eh, even if he made it to a final again (which I wouldn't say is impossible), I just think circumstances would work against him winning the final unless he gets a really weak opponent.

Well, we've had some really weak finalists in the past so it's very possible. I think any former champion is going to need to face a weak opponent to win again, and Vivi is probably the most likely among them to get there. Though I would at least take the field of all other winners over him.
