Attributing today's terror to Biden's withdrawal is implicitly saying that war and occupation was actually not that bad. I mean, there were 1.6m fewer deaths, millions fewer hungry. Sounds pretty great. Also centrist af.

I'm not saying you're a centrist, but the "both are culpable" idea is quintessential centrism. Don't say centrist things if you don't want to be perceived centrist.

And yeah the Afghanistan occupation was absolutely terrible. Minimizing the terror like Biden did was great. Trump, Obama, Bush had complete power and opportunity to minimize the damage and chose not to. They and the Taliban together caused today's damage.

I can't play the Amnesia series because they're too good at forcing you to be scared (you can't pace yourself like other horror games). But they are super good if you like that.

That said if you like Soma, you should play 999. Don't read anything about it or the series. I recommend the original on DS (on emulator if necessary) because the remasters seem to change some stuff that imo would cheapen the story, but I dunno, maybe they're fine.

This is the dumbest centrist idea ever. Every president since Bush has come up with a plan to get out of Afghanistan after throwing away the previous guy's plan. They all failed because the political cost was too high or things took too long or whatever. If Biden did the same there would still be a war today and 4 years from now. But he's the only one who realized he could just order it to happen, and take on the political cost. Maybe we needed someone whose ego has withered away with age, who knows shame can't hurt his already decrepit human form, I don't know. But it was the greatest single thing any president has done in my lifetime. If you can have "blame" for something great then Biden deserves it all.

About 35% of the country votes R, so it's not like he has 50%+. Also, R voters are very good at rallying behind the chosen candidate. All Trump needs is a solid 10% of the population on his side, and he can dominate the R playing field since the rest of the 35% will just go along with whoever is in 1st place.

It's essentially a microcosm of the US itself, where 70% of the population watches for a 30% chunk to make their decision for them.

But also humans are fallible and risk-averse so out of 8 billion, some % will press blue. You have a 100% chance of killing millions, maybe 100s of millions with this strategy.

The lack of clear overarching plotline hurts its memorability the most. But the character work is insanely good.

The software still tries to keep you around 80% by default, so it's def still a thing. Same with your phone.

Bolt or Leaf seem like the way to go for the vast majority of people. But the cars are crappy so I don't really want one, and I can afford a fancier one. I would have one right now but the supply issues are making things difficult, and my current car runs fine. Prob in the next 2 years I'll get one.

I am definitely curious about these new battery techs being developed. I would prob do a 3 year lease on an EV for that reason. Things will improve a lot very quickly.

They're already so much better than ICEs though. There's nothing I hate more than filling up gas.

Shuri into Vision seems very strong too vs Cap Marvel. The only downside is you need to correctly pick the location yourself, but the fact that you're setting up a 1/3 choice for the opponent is the most important part of both these cards.

Actually, the fact that you can mess up your Vision choice is probably +EV since the opponent will play out T6 more often. If your Cap creates an unwinnable scenario they'll just retreat.

That does seem like a double order, but it doesn't seem too hard to eat since lots of those veg can be main dishes. My farm share is more heavy on greens which is weirdly difficult to eat. You basically are required to eat a salad with every lunch AND dinner.

I think the new Spider-Man effect has other uses than Polaris, since you have more control over which card gets moved. It's a great piece to break up a Wong/Mystique or Iron Man/Onslaught/Tribunal combo.

More target precision, less location precision. It does sound fun, prob OP since you can play it on high cost cards.

Polaris is great for destroy and galactus disruption, and Spiderman can do that too. I'll prob just replace Polaris with him and see how it does. He should prob be 3/4 or even 3/3 with that effect.

Spiderman is just a Polaris variant now? I love Polaris so I'll prob use him, but it's a lot less interesting
