They tore that shit out of the Definite Edition for a reason.

Didn't play it and won't play it, but I think elemental immunities at least would've been fine in this game. Elemental immunities plus quick loadout shifts would encourage/force players to play around with their builds instead of allowing players to just use Phoenix/Garuda the entire game.

I have a feeling there's going to be a bit of a drop-off here. I think Loki has the most potential out of all these shows, but I can't help thinking it would be so much better if it was Tom Hiddleston playing a new character.

I dislike Forbidden West for gameplay reasons, but honestly I thought the graphics/models were super impressive. I never got a weird feeling from them except to say "wow that is scarily good."

In general though, I don't see how much more graphics can improve with the current type of games we're playing. The leap from PS2 to PS3 was the last huge jump in graphics, while with the PS3 to PS4 and PS5 the jumps are in performance. (Also, I'm not a Sony Crony, I just think this is the easiest way to describe gaming generations).

For the next gen, I just don't see games looking better than they do currently in a way that most consumers will get. With VR, on the other hand, I do see room for improvement but also I have doubts that VR will ever catch on as long as you have to wear a headset.

Yeah, this was kind of a disaster. It's on the same level of FatWS, where the shows have a great premise but everything about them is excruciatingly boring. Both should've just been movie-length.

Every actor in this is wasted. If I was SLJ, Olivia Coleman, Don Cheadle or Emilia Clarke I'd be pissed. Especially Emilia Clarke. That's two high-profile Disney properties that have completely ate shit through no fault of your own.

The season 4 finale was great. I agree with most people that Season 3 was too slow and the Alucard arc sucked. But really it's probably the best videogame adaptation around.

They changed the showrunner after abuse allegations, so I'm sure the feel is going to be pretty different.

If The Marvels doesn't make bank I think the MCU is washed. Besides GoTG3 it's all been either average or bad since.

Personally I think I feel about social media as I do about organized religion. I try to avoid it as much as possible, and see it, at best, as a net neutral.

This is how it started, but now it's really changed with algorithms and advertisements. It's not so much about connecting people as it is making them addicted and locking them in group think.

KH 3 criticism is largely overstated, I think. Most of the worlds are pretty good. Yes, the writing's terrible and base game is too easy, but...it's KH.

yeah I have to echo the 7Remake praise. XVI could be good but it really needs variety/difference in the abilities. my main changes would be to 1) add lag to item usage, 2) add loadouts, 3) add immunities and weaknesses to particular enemies.

FFXVI complete. It's around a 7/10 for me. As a mainline Final Fantasy game, I think it's disappointing, which is weird to say considering I also think it's the best one since X (not counting XIV). It just goes to show how bad development has gone on the single player FF's since then. It's a great game, but I hope to God they don't head this same direction for the next mainline game. Thankfully, SE has never really made the same game twice in a row in this series (for better or worse). If they could find some way to make party members matter again without turning it into Tales or FF7Remake, that would be great.

I get the impression that people are split on the ending. I don't really feel strongly about it one way or the other. The main issue is vagueness. I get the impression that Clive's sacrifice 1) brought Joshua back, 2) got rid of Primogenesis, and 3) eliminated magic/eikons entirely. But the world was kind of extremely ruined at the end of the game and I don't see how any of that fixes anything enough so that Joshua becomes a published author and people are back to living happily. None of the countries had their governments basically. Oh well, again, I don't think it was as bad as some people are making it out to be.

It's the exclamation marks, I'm convinced. They make them feel more like chores than actual game.

If Otto had just said, Chrono Trigger style, "a bunch of stuff is going down in the towns" and they started when you arrived, they would feel more natural. Or if a sidequest was a reward for talking to an NPC, like in the old days.
