It really doesn't matter whether he was a threat or not. He was not a lasting threat that required excessive force, and the matter was completely and utterly improperly handled by someone who clearly had no fucking clue how to restrain someone. The absolute best case is that he's an idiot who thought he was doing the right thing, who now needs to face consequence for his idiocy. Though, I believe there was at least some maliciousness in his actions, even if murder was not intended.

I think its fair to ask for mastery. If you make it so all trophies are obtainable by everyone, why even bother making them? Now, asking someone to beat some kind of super ultra ultra hard death erases your save mode is a bit much.

Its easier for some people to have a set schedule they follow, once per week go to watch a show on a certain day. Some people like the slower pace that allows for more theorizing, better discussions, better hyping.

It all depends on how you consume media, but someone who likes to binge could also just wait as well. I think from a money making and engagement perspective, it seems very silly to put it out all at once. If you extend it out over three months, that means you have people subscribed for three months, that means you have people watching it and discussing it for three months, and that means you have more people picking up other shows in between to justify the purchase.

Yeah, its a pretty silly thing to use. There are different levels of acceptability, depending on the circumstances of the series, the threat of the person to be executed, relative treatment of other individuals of a similar danger, level, etc. while Batman is fairly silly, at least its more that hes actually literally insane, and would personally snap if he did it. As a society, we're obsessed over this shit. Everyone needs to know who did it, why they did it, what their life is/was like, etc. We basically turn them into mini celebrities, which I do believe has had a significant impact on putting this into people's heads. Given the unique circumstances in America, I dont think it would affect current circumstances by too large of a percentage. Even a with unopposed ban instituted right at this moment, wed still be dealing with mass shootings for decades to come. Thats not to say I disagree with the possibility of getting rid of guns. What? I'm saying either the guy is an extraordinary asshole normally, which is why they're all laughing without batting an eye, or the entire lot of them are sociopaths. It's not like I was friends with any of my teachers in high school, but I certainly wouldn't be laughing at their misery unless it was a horrific person getting some deserved justice.

A teacher is not some random person. They are in charge of their classroom and no phones during class is about as reasonable of a rule as you can get.

It's a reasonable rule, but that rule should be enforced differently. If a child is being disruptive and not learning, turning the teacher into a target of hatred does not help things. That necessitates intervention from a parent after too many offenses. On top of that, the fact that we have children and teens carrying around items that are so much more expensive than pretty much anything in the past that I don't feel like the school has any business taking custody of them.

Schools really shouldn't be allowed to take away property unless it's an immediate danger in the first place. I wouldn't want some random person handling a possibly thousand dollar device just because my kid is being a prick. You can tell either that guy is a horrible asshole of a teacher or the entire class is full of sociopaths from how they're reacting.
