Onion Knight isn't actually all that interesting in FFIII proper. With no abilities all it brings to the table are high stats + unique gear (which are also the best). Not exactly that compelling.

You can definitely say that OK gets better in later entrees + the remake, but the same argument can be made for Vaan: something that is being completely ignored.

I feel like folks are just voting against Vaan.

I don't see how EP2 is worse than EP1

EP1 is so fundamentally bad as a movie from the plot not making sense, terrible acting, dull visuals, awful pacing.

And that's without factoring in the decade of hype for a new Star Wars movie

EP2 is at least coherant.

The only good thing about EP1 was Mr Plinkett's excellent deconstruction of it. Where once you look at the motivations of each character in that movie in detail, almost literally everything every character did was against their own interests.

With the exception of Obi-Wan and the black security guard guy who Plinkett flat out points out don't do anything despite being the most capable people there.

The way the game is designed you're either taking no damage and cruising through everything to farm shit or you're pushing greater rifts where everything will kill you in one hit but it doesn't matter because you can just respawn in a couple seconds anyway. There is no inbetween
