There are plenty of serials in the traditional television half-hour format (ever hear about anime?). Mando episodes clock in between 30 and 50 minutes, which this one did. I dont really see anything to get that upset about. If the episode is bad, thats one thing (I havent seen it yet), but runtime does not determine the quality. 33 minutes is plenty of time to get a satisfying season finale. If you dont think D+ is worth your sub, then cancel and be done with it.

I heard that as a kid, but its hard to argue with the results when blowing the cartridges worked damn near every time.

We dont know when our time is up, so its impossible to know how much to save. Im saving a solid chunk, but I should be saving more. I want to enjoy living my life, so I dont mind making some splurges.

Depends on how and when its used. Avatar 2 (and the Avatar 1 rerelease) had HFR moments. I think it works well in some of the action scenes.

This is a nice quote and all, but I doubt actors have much power setting a release window. It sounds like an optimistic guess to me.

Yeah, most restaurants have some kind of seal these days to make things like this painfully obvious to the customer. This is a case where everyone sucks, but if LC does their job then the driver cant fuck with the food without the customer knowing.

On par with most manga. I havent read another mecha manga to compare it to. It doesnt blow me away, but I think it looks pretty good.

Been building some Gundam Wing gunpla, so I picked up and am about halfway through GW: Glory to the Losers manga.

Novels I have been oscillating between this year are the Frank Herbert Dune novels and the Dresden Files series (Ill have to check out that other series mentioned in this topic. Earlier this month I finished God Emperor of Dune and am currently on the 11th Dresden Files novel (Turn Coat). All first-time reads.

Next on the docket is Fingersmith (recently watched for the first time and loved The Handmaiden), The Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings. I havent read The Hobbit since freshman year of high school and Ive never read Lord of the Rings despite saying Ive wanted to for years.

FedEx lets you redirect everything to a pick up location as long as you get your tracking number soon enough. I pick up all my FedEx stuff from a Walgreens down the road. Its nothing against FedEx though. Packages are a big pain point at my complex.

I was an engineering intern (and thus hourly) during turnaround once and made bank with all the OT. It definitely sucked working so many straight 12s though. I think it was worth it once with the OT, but I have no desire to do another one. Felt pretty bad for the full time salaried staff, but I did hear they got decent bonuses for turnaround season.

I won't say voter suppression isn't a thing because it absolutely is. However, between early voting and mail-in voting I personally have not come across someone who legitimately wanted to vote and could not. Jobs and lines make it harder to vote, not impossible. Many people skip out because it isn't convenient, not because they want to vote and literally can't.

Its wild how widespread voter suppression is in the US. Many countries actually want their citizens to vote. Some countries require you to vote to participate in public services or get a passport.

No, to get the price of one night it would be total cost divided by total nights. Total nights is is the summation of everyones stay. So if you have 20 people staying two nights, the total nights would be 20 x 2 = 40.

Id charge everyone $200 if I were you. Easy math. Maybe it isnt completely fair to people only staying one night, but you are renting a house and thats how renting a house goes.

I have no issue recasting characters. It happens all over the place in movies/TV, its happened in comic book movies, even in the MCU for major roles, but people act like its impossible to recast.

I love Big Mouth. Probably my favorite Netflix show (might not be saying much these days). I find it hilarious and pretty endearing. Show has a lot of heart, and I can relate to a lot of the characters.

Kinda surprised to see so many complain about the art style. No it isn't gorgeous, but I don't find any worse than typical adult animation.

I have a 10-year-old son who I drive to school every morning, and lately his most frequent topic of conversation on those rides is how ineffective he thinks the school shooter procedures are. Yesterday he pointed out the parts of the fence that someone could jump over. Today he told me that the closet is the first place a shooter would look so why do they have to hide in there. I told him it's so you dont get shot through the window. It's fucking depressing.

Really sad these are the things a 10 year old is thinking about. When I was 10, I couldn't even conceptualize shooting defenses and where is the best place I could hide vs where would a shooter look first.

I dont know laws surrounding residuals, but this feels illegal to not pay them to the stars of the show. They must have gotten signed to super shitty deals.

Loved the first two. The Djinn mechanic is really cool and holds up. Didn't realize there was a third one until much later. Never played it because of its poor reception. Don't really feel like I am missing out.

Season 3 can then kick off with Abby's side of those events.

I guess, but if you do that you need to film seasons 2 and 3 at the same time as all of those events happen simultaneously. You don't want 1-2 years between filming.

It sounded to me that the lawyer is for the guy who sat in the front seat. I think he is trying to say his client didnt rape her, not that she wasnt raped. I dunno how the law works in this case or what he can be charged with. If the lawyer is the same guy for all four saying this, yeah, it is completely full of shit to say it wasnt rape.

Agreed, but dont stop there. Time to hold Reggies accountable for the part they played in this and who knows how many other similar situations.

It was storming earlier, but its slowed up downtown now. Hope I have power when I get home. A few streets were blocked off because of flooding, but it looks like the drainage system has been able to catch up with the little break we have now.

I see it as Oscars trying to get more popularity by including the two highest grossing movies of last year. They were both well received by viewers and critics, so it isn't completely out of left field. Honestly I don't think any recent CBM, Avatar 2, or TG:M deserve the award or even a nom.

I do mean it that Grapes of Wrath was pretty short and im a fast reader so i breezed through the book beore anyone else in my class back then. So dont frikkin argue with me, buster

Then be accurate with your statements. If you read it quickly and found it easy, thats fine. It is objectively not a short book though, particularly by required HS reading standards, so I thought you may have meant the authors other work that is well known for being a short and quick read.
