the parents of all those kids knew something
Yeah, and they either didn't believe it or they reported it but the catholic church leaders would shuffle the priests to new places or quietly remove them back to public life

A lot of those people that were accused left the church and got involved in other careers in things like social work and education and are currently unsupervised by law enforcement.

Religions, in general, have taken a hit in the US than previous decades. This was inevitable with the advent of internet media and cell phones. There's still some heavily religious sectors of the country, but they're just pockets of what they used to be. More and more children are being raised by handheld media instead of traditional scriptures and community places of worship.

They're conditioned to worship media.
Considering most american kids apparently want to be youtube celebrities, that's probably true.

Meh, f*** Christianity. Where were all those "good christians" when their dear pastoral leaders were in the back lubing up children's holes?
So if an institution covers up a crime and you're completely ignorant of it due to the coverup, that's your fault?

People itt being too disingenuous.

TC isnt saying this show will convert people. Hes saying its easy ammo for the real threats to use for propaganda.

From what I understand, the white cis guy is villainy is a thing people push. And this show does it no favors.

For obvious reasons, folks can easily be swayed to think white dudes are oppressed if people pitch the argument well enough.
People on the left push anti-white rhetoric and vilify people over entertainment all the time and the right capitalizes on it.

As this show proves, the left does it to themselves.

Ooh, that is a bad creative choice IMO. Spores were a great way to really hammer home Ellie's immunity bit and easily make a situation more tense. I guess they aren't completely necessary, but they were easily an important part of the game.
Well it was more believable than the idea of spreading a apocalyptic plague simply by biting people like in other zombie fiction.

Whether it's impractical gear that tends to be overly revealing, jiggle physics for the sake of jiggle physics, etc. Costumes definitely marketed towards horny guys.

Between men and woman, it definitely skews towards the woman
Well yeah, sex sells and guys are buying into it enough that it's profitable for devs to include stuff like that.

And the overly sexualized outfits and mechanics heavily skew towards the woman becoming fanservice.

The male characters hardly pale in comparison.
Well you're right that the male characters usually only have the upper half of the BDSM gear.
Still not practical in combat though.

Japanese games tend to design woman like this:
They seem fine designing impractical combat outfits for jrpg male characters too, because a lot of it is just fun high fantasy stuff.

He is right.

Young people are really strange in that if a person Tweets or says something offensive or perhaps politically incorrect, they will look up where you work and even look into your relationships - and then Facebook message your boss or girlfriend with screenshots of what you said.

Like, young people will try and blow up your life - for saying something right wing or against something.
It's how they get any sense of power, which is kind of messed up if your life is so sad that you feel the need to be a social media hall monitor.

i don't think this makes as much of a difference as they think it does. it doesn't strike me as notable that the word "homosexual" didn't appear in the bible until 1946, because homosexual is a relatively modern medical term, and the ancient Greeks (and i presume other contemporary cultures) had radically different views about sexuality than we have today. it was very common, for instance, for grown men to have sex with boys younger than them for pleasure, and only sleep with their wives for mating purposes, yet this was never labeled as "homosexual" in their time.
I don't think it has much impact either. Christianity since it's inception has been restrictive on sexual behavior, especially same sex, and even further back than that with Judaism.
