Reflect wasn't for the Earthquake set it was the Defensive one. The only way I'd see an Offensive Blissey working is with Curse, which reinforces why it's a terrible idea. Admittedly though some of these sets are based on prior knowledge(You normally wouldn't use Flamethrower unless you knew Sash + Counter was coming). That's what most of this line of conversation would boil down to. --- Loki's Good Boy |

Which would depend on the sets used and what you open with. Like if you went with your plan to break Sash with Flamethrower. Umbreon posted... *Actually replace Flare Blitz with Flamethrower on my example to break Sash without eating Counter --- Loki's Good Boy |

Chansey can get Reflect from Gen 1, so Blissey wouldn't need someone else to set it up. --- Loki's Good Boy |

the way the ministry works Not completely. We know about a handful of changes (removing the werewolf discrimination laws, house elf protection, formally shutting down Azkaban), but nothing that seems to amount to systemic changes to the magical society. got rid of corruption They probably got rid of any blatant pure blood bias, however anyone that sided with Voldemort (willing or otherwise) conveniently removed themselves. And we dont know if a widespread exists since the story is over by that point. However things like Harry releasing the Malfoys (you can make a case for Draco and Narcissa, but Lucious apparently never changed his views) and Ron hex his examiner that certain issues didnt go away. --- Loki's Good Boy |

Think the pro establishment part is correct. The books at most questions the people controlling the institutes rather than the society itself, and pretty much ends with the notion everything will be fixed with the right people are in power. The issue with the status quo part is that most of the real changes happen after the story ends through snippets of WoG. Background_Guy posted...
Very few leftist do that, at most people tend to highlight the politics Rowling intentionally put in her story. The thing is however is the people on various points of the political spectrum have consistently tried to paint Rowlings politics differently in an attempt Toto frame the situation as the left eating its own. --- Loki's Good Boy |
