I agree most of his music is pretty bad but La Cancion and Otra Noche en Miami are decent.

You probably already know of him, but I prefer J Balvin a lot more. The song he has with Skrillex is such a bop (not a sad song so a bit off topic I guess), its called In Da Ghetto.

I just cannot stand Bad Bunnys voice so I dont think Id like any song by him, every time I hear songs like Titi Me Pregunto or Neverita played by my friends/family it makes me cringe so hard.

But funny cause after I read the movie drastically changes storylines in the middle of it threw me off.

Its one of the best movies released last year, no idea why that poster chose it, highly recommend you watch it if you get a chance

Yeah, that or when the specific streaming app/platform displays subtitles extremely poorly and has it cover up a good amount of whats onscreen.

Always prefer subtitles to display in the black boxes rather than where the content actually is, so annoying when theres all that unused black box and they still plaster it over the viewing space.

Uh isnt that what you suggested in your initial post though? I was agreeing with you on that suggestion. Unless I read it wrong and misunderstood you, in which case my bad.

Another example for the spoiling aspect of subtitles that I didnt expect at all was in She Hulk (spoiler warning for the last episode of She Hulk):

Throughout the episode, Kevin Feige is mentioned several times and he is built up to as the final confrontation She Hulk will face in the episode. However, every time the name Kevin is mentioned by a character, the subtitles spell it out as K.E.V.I.N, so when he is finally revealed to be an A.I. machine the entire punchline of the joke and plot twist of the episode is ruined before then.

I use subtitles 99% of the time because I have trouble hearing people all the time, but it was so disappointing to have that spoiled for me as an avid subtitle user. Im used to the whole dialogue sentence stopping as someone gets shot or a jump scare happens etc so I just learn to deal with that, but that was something I had no way of knowing could be spoiled with subtitles.

I do agree that they should implement subtitles in a better way by having the singular words sync up to what a person is saying, one word at a time, but I dont think Ive ever seen that implemented in anything Ive ever watched so I dont see it happening anytime soon.

I listened through In Return again. I think I also favor A Moment Apart as a fan of them, but it's mainly cause I got the CD for free from a friend who preordered tickets who gave it to me, and that was the main album in my car (that I no longer own cause it caught fire) so I've heard it a bunch. I just feel like In Return showed me the range and specialty of Odesza. In other words, I think I'd recommend In Return to someone who's never listened.

Also, shoutouts to the DKC trilogy soundtrack, and A.R. Rahman

I can agree that In Return has more range and diversity, and I would also introduce new listeners with that album for sure (Summer's Gone is also a nice short listen as an introduction to Odesza too). Also enjoyed their newest album, but it wasn't as good as AMA or In Return.

A Moment Apart earns a special place with me because of their specific live show for when they toured that album. It's the greatest live show I've ever been to, so I have great memories with that album. Seen the AMA show twice, once at a festival (Coachella 2018) and the other as just them on their own (AMA Finale in Los Angeles 2019).

Their new show for their newest album, The Last Goodbye, is also fantastic but I prefer the AMA show's specific live edits of their songs. Production is a lot better on their TLG show though, it's worth going to for sure.

What festival did you see them at? With festivals it's kind of a gamble because some fests have restrictions that can make the show significantly worse in my experience. When I saw them at Coachella, they were billed as the sub-headliners and played right before the headliner of the night (Eminem) on the main stage, with some of the best production I've ever seen at a festival (the Coachella main stage is enormous and beautiful). Coachella is the best of the best when it comes to that stuff.

But I also just recently saw them last weekend at a festival in San Diego (CRSSD) and it was such a watered down version of their show, they were completely missing entire lighting structures, pyrotechnics, fireworks, smoke, lasers, visuals etc. that just made the show a shell of it was supposed to be. It was still a fun time but I was a bit disappointed.

The actress in that scene is also one of the main characters in the latest M Night Shyamalan movie, Knock at the Cabin. She was great in both this scene and that movie, hope to see here in more things in the future.

The name matches the color and overall look of the bird, I like it

This episode by far had the best music of any of the episodes so far, I'm surprised it hasn't been talked about much.

Not only did the game end credits track play at one point as they were riding away from Jackson, but that beautiful theme that plays in the game when the story transitions into a new season (after Henry/Sam's death - "Henry No!", and after Joel passes out on the horse - "You gotta tell me what to do!") played multiple times throughout this episode.

By far my favorite piece of OST from the game, I'm so glad they are using it in the show. I do wish they used it in the same spots they did in the game, but I'm just happy they used it at all.

Don't listen to Darth (sorry Darth) if cost isn't an issue get the remake. It is the definitive version and especially if the intent is to try Part 2 at some point it segues into it much better.

In what ways does the remake segue into Part 2 better? Is it because of the updated gameplay or is it the visuals or something else?

I was about to start up the PS4 remastered version for a replay because of the show, then replay part 2, then get the Part 1 remake after just to see what they changed; but I might just skip the replay of the old PS4 version of the first game and just get the remake now instead if it really flows into Part 2 that much better like you said it does.

He released a second album (Dont Get Too Close) a day later too, which is more hip-hop/pop focused rather than the dance/EDM focused sound the first one is (Quest for Fire)

I prefer QFF but its a pretty impressive comeback to return with a double album that has such a wide range of sounds between the two albums

His evolution from his brostep days is fascinating and Im glad to see his sound evolve and mature over time

Do you own any electronic/EDM albums on vinyl?

Future Nostalgia is probably my favorite pop album of all time, loaded with bangers top to bottom

Agreed with this actually, I was a huge Star Wars fan (it was my favorite media franchise) up until this movie came out. This movie killed all my interest in the franchise and I don't keep up with it at all anymore, although I've heard great things about their recent tv series like Mandalorian/Andor and want to see those eventually.

I don't think Rian Johnson is the worst though, I actually love most of his work (Knives Out, Glass Onion, Looper, his Breaking Bad episodes), just think he blundered really hard with Star Wars

Oh man, yeah this definitely. I liked the first game but its the one I revisit the least just because of the ridiculous platforming sections in Hades that make me want to tear my hair out.

Those were the exact next 3 quests I had left to do to get my quest cape, so just 4 in total including Sins of the Father.

Now Im sure a bunch of other quests have probably been released since then, Sins of the Father was the newest quest released when I stopped playing.

Still a bit of pain, but not as bad as before. Today was the first day I could finally eat solid food, but too much of it still irritates the burn and causes more pain to flood back in.

Big thanks to everyones suggestions in this topic, helped me out a lot. My favorite remedies were cold milk and especially ice cream, it felt heavenly going down my throat.

Im hoping for another day or two and Ill be back to normal, fingers crossed. Mustve been a real nasty burn if its lasted this long.

It was good, but not worth the burn at all. A place called Angry Chickz.

It was worse than Raising Canes and even had its own special sauce that emulated Canes sauce. Next time, Id rather just go to Raising Canes.

Just curious what makes it your favorite. I actually quite like it. The highs outnumber the lows for me, for sure. And the anthill sequence is one of my favorites out of all four movies.

I loved the whole alien thing they had going on, the time period was super fun (loved the greaser vs jocks fight), great side characters overall (Ray Winstone was fantastic) and I just liked that era of Shia LaBeouf (Eagle Eye, Disturbia, Transformers etc including this movie).

Anthill scene was great, fencing stuff was cool, the intro sequence was awesome, I could go on. Just a super fun film, dont care that lots of it was unrealistic.

So the consensus so far seems to be cold things mostly. I keep seeing other recommendations for remedies on the internet like gargling warm water with salt or eating salty soups. Which contradicts all the other suggestions.

It does seem like common sense would dictate to avoid hot/warm foods and irritating stuff like salt for a burn and to stick to the cold stuff, but something about a nice warm salty soup seems it could be soothing too.

Man this is tricky.
