I mean sure, you COULD just swim out into the ocean to your death but.. that's semantics. But you are allowed to leave, right? Just because other areas don't want you, doesn't mean you are being held captive by the one that has you. I imagine it feeling very close to being in a tribe. Chrknu 04/18/23 8:13:49 AM #24 | Prismsblade posted... A permit of sorts with classes and a test to become eligible is something I agree with and thought about. The problem is that it disproportionately affects the lower classes. So framing it in a way that doesn't seem like it's targeting them would be problematic to say the least. I understand that there are major cultural differences, but aren't the signs all there that making guns a little harder for unstable people to get, lowers the risk of wrongful shootings? Don't you guys have like daily to weekly shootings - What else can be reasonably more or equally effective as regulating guns, seeing it had yielded positive results in other countries? I mean, even if the scale is just 25:1, it would still be a huge impact, especially in the long run. I don't know. Something similar to a drivers license or something, I guess? I don't live in america, so I don't really have to worry much about these things. Just analyzing it from the outside. What makes you say that it won't matter to criminals or stupid/irresponsible people? I heard that both Switzerland and Australia (brought up in gun control videos) are examples where regulation seems to not support that statement. Chrknu 04/17/23 8:44:48 PM #12 | Full_Pokedex posted... I've had a couple over the summer jobs but nothing permanent. Not good at anything that I could see being usable in a good job. Would I risk the trip? Lol no I've been thinking about it a lot and am looking forward to it a great bit. Why would you think you don't have any skills being suitable at a good job? (What is good btw?) If you are only looking at "good" (whatever that means) jobs, would you consider taking a "lesser than good" to gain experience to get a "good" job? :) I don't live in the US, so I'm in no position to help, sorry, but I would look at your honesty as a good quality :) Though if someone is looking to help you out, I guess that you saying that you prioritizing your vacation when you are looking for a job might make you seem a little unserious. If an interviewer asks you if you are flexible. Try to be as positive as you are able to be, without being dishonest :) And it was a low probability that I could have any influence, but... shots in the dark sometimes hit, try to stay positive, flexible and available and you will get something good! ^_^ Best of luck! I just saw your posts and the responses to you, and felt that you're a good person. I think that a lot of jobs are craving good persons who don't know how to market themselves, they just don't know how to look for them... My suggestion would be to think about what makes you feel good, maybe abstractly, and look for jobs that have low level entry points into something in that sphere. Don't try to get "good" right away, but maybe "worthy"? - then if it suits you, I imagine you will grow in a very positive direction and others will recognize it :) I think many stay in a rut (not english speaking, so maybe i spell this wrong "stuck in a ___") because they are only looking for the end of the ladder, missing the start... I really hope you have a good vacation, but please think about what a "good job" is. If the good person vibe from you is real - don't think that taking a lower entry level job is bad, just go to the competitor if you get some experience and they don't pay your value :) And please don't get me wrong, I know this shit is hard. My journey is probably very very different from yours, but the last 3 years I have been in a very transformative period of my life where I have jumped from a very high paying job into studies (no paying) to get into a field that is very much average paying, but for motivations that I feel is worth it. Feel free to contact me on gamefaqs private messages if there is something I might be able to help with! The writing is that good-- amazing characters, plot, quests, and I've never felt more immersed in a world. W3 is probably my favorite game among newer ones. If I would have had this game during my developing years, I don't think it would be able to be topped. I think the main argument against it, is how simple the combat is. That being said, at that time there was no other game that had that advanced combat, while still being a rpg where you could impact the world ... it's one of those games that I feel is GOAT. --- Hell is not a place you go if you're not a Christian, it's the failure of your life's greatest ambition -Immortal Technique |
