Don't use the pens to panel line. Use actual panel lining paint or real thin acrylic paint. Just dilute it with a lot of alcohol. Take a small brush and dab it in a crevasse and watch as your world turns upside down. lol

Yeah I bought the tamyo accent color bottles. But I read alot of posts saying that they tend to crack plastic.

So I had to reorder more topcoat sprays to try to prevent that.

Okay, I made a few fuck ups.

Everywhere I read everyone recommended the Mr. Super clear top coat. I didn't know types of paints are important, and lacquer is particularly toxic. I already had ordered it. I can't return it. I am not killing my lungs for that.

So I had to reorder. I got the blue mr top coat matte and gloss instead. Sold out everywhere. Takes 2 weeks on amazon.

It's probably not going to be like cyberpunk 2077 since we are too stupid to advance that far, so I don't really care.

Panel lining is tedious, but not really difficult. Your lining will mostly follow the grooves, then you can clean up around the grooves. I use the markers and clean with a cotton swab and eraser.

Scribing is a step I havent and dont really plan on taking (similar to full painting), but you never know.

I bought the solution where you just dab and it fills in automatically. I just hope I don't make a mess.

I made quite a few. Then when I went to Tokyo back in 2019 it was freaking paradise there. Gunpla everywhere. Bought and stuffed a whole big bag worth of the stuff and came home to London with it. Kept me occupied for months.

I think its worth it. Panel lining is one of the easier things you can do, and it really makes your gunpla pop.

There aren't a lot of grooves on my model, hmm...

Is it worth getting pens for the panel lines as well?

I kinda just want to just do the decals and apply the topcoat for now.

It's clear so it shouldn't stain, there's plenty of how-to videos on water decals that include using softener and setter.
Topcoat is easy I just use Mr. Topcoat rattle cans from Hobby Lobby. You can just spray it on outside once you're finished assembling or you can do each section separately.

Gloss or matte? Gloss is good for those models that are curvy right

The main thing is to be careful on how you trim the pieces off. If you trim a part and cut a joint off by accident, you are fucked and have a brick, because replacement pieces are impossible to find

Just make sure to level up beast tamer early in the game to get the passive where your have a chance to capture after killing the mob. It's key to getting maxed stats endgame because the beast tamer can unlock stat boosts based on the monsters you captured throughout the play through.

I think there are two different sets of conversations occurring here with nuanced takes for both:

1. Some unhoused people lack the proper services to treat or manage their mental health. Due to their lack of treatment, they are stuck in a state of homelessness and/or are routinely sent to places like prison where they are not properly treated. A proper response to this would be to increase spending toward mental health services for these individuals (and the greater public at large) which may include reopening special facilities that will manage mental health.
2. Forcibly sending unhoused people to hospitals certainly appears unconstitutional and places an unfair burden on the medical system. While nurses and physicians are certainly better trained at dealing with individuals with mental health disorders, they are not necessarily specifically trained to deal with these individuals. They also clog up the resources of a hospital staff that are already dealing with a lack of nurses which makes it more difficult for the general public to receive care. Again, a proper response would be what is stated above. However, it will actually require the public to support their tax funds going to housing and treating unhoused people and advocating for more individuals to enter careers focused on mental health and support.
As a personal anecdote, I understand what megamanfreak is talking about. I had to go to the emergency room in July for something that was not life-threatening but did need more immediate care. I waited for about 3 hours to get a bed (which maybe doesn't sound bad, but it was 3 am on a Sunday night), and when I was finally in the ER, I noticed that most beds were filled with those seeking help for drugs or mental health. The staff were helping these individuals as best as they can, but it does seem that emergency care has greatly shifted in its focus.

You are lucky it is only 3 hours. The patients I admitted 24 hours ago are still in the ED with no bed.

Patients who sign out AMA, patients get the bill (not insurance) and they don't usually pay it and it goes to collections, so we lose money on it.

I don't. I just hate people that when I tell them you have a problem and need treatment and should take these medications, they go and throw a food tray at me and walk out.

I am also going to add this as well:

You can't involuntary hospitalize a patient unless the patient cannot make decisions for himself or is a danger to himself or others. You can't assume that every single psychotic patient on the planet is going to kill someone. If the patient has the mental capacity to make decisions at the time and understand the risks and benefits and decides to discharge himself against medical advice, all they have to do is sign a paper and they can walk out. This is what happens to >90% of these "homeless psychotic" patients. The hospital isn't a prison. So this stupid policy by Eric Adams is just a waste of resources, delay actual medical care for those who actually need it and need help, and puts stress on the healthcare system.

Because every time I go see a patient, the first thing they do is bark at me get a sandwich and completely misunderstand why they are in the hospital. Maybe then I will start caring. At this point, I am pretty much jaded, in the end this is just a job and as long I meet my numbers and do a good job with medical care, it doesn't matter.
