I have a little free time and have thought about doing this for a while - one of my favorite niche genres and I'd like to discover some new tracks. I don't want to take a ton of noms and not get to finishing it, so I'm going to say 2 noms per person, and no noms over 8 minutes. Obviously, no songs with any kind of vocals or spoken word are allowed. I'll probably close nominations Sunday night, or if we hit 30 songs, whichever comes first (maybe a little more if there's a lot of interest). 'Rock' can be defined pretty loosely here, but I may reject a nom if it's predominantly another genre. 'Karaoke' versions of songs with the vocals removed are not allowed. The song cannot have been composed for a movie or video game (if it was featured in one after being released, that's fine). Live versions are allowed. The Killing was pretty good & interesting; Strangelove I wasn't too impressed with. Barry Lyndon is beautifully shot but I was really bored and didn't finish it.
