Why? It's amazing so far, and it's the final arc of the story. If you've seen the rest, don't you wanna know the ending? There's some crazy payoff in this arc.

I won't lie, as far as low effort visual novels go, this seems to be borderline high effort. I hope it does well. I kinda root for passion projects, especially when people are super hateful and unfair to the creators for no reason.

Back in the day, we called them "Microtransactions" because they were small, simple, low impact bonuses that could be purchased for very low prices. Fifty cents, a dollar, maybe a dollar ninety nine for something really cool.

The big issue is...nowadays we have "microtransactions" that cost twenty bucks. Forty. A hundred. They're not microtransactions anymore, but the terminology still exists.

there were tons of mmo with microtransactions before Maplestory, i was simply called cash shop back then.

I think more specifically it's the whole notion of "loot boxes" that Maplestory popularized. Putting real money in, getting a random digital item out.

Maple story began the microtransaction train. Oblivion just borrowed the concept in a more visible product.

I'm starting to turn just a little. The $10,000 speedrun bounty video where he's sponsored by Prime Gaming felt wrong to watch.

Why? He did a contest before that for an unbeatably insane Halo 2 challenge, and it was a lot of fun and created a lot of community involvement. He said at the time he wanted to do something similar in the future because of how much fun it was.

And the game he chose for the prize isn't even available on Amazon? He runs an Esports organization with his own personal bank account at a loss because he enjoys being part of the community and enabling people to play games professionally.

He's very much not the 'greedy' type. He's in it for the fun, not the payout.

I watch his streams as well as his videos from time to time, and he is absolutely unafraid of sharing his opinion on any subject. Even if it's the 'wrong' opinion. He was one of the people telling everybody to pump the brakes on that whole Chess cheating accusation fiasco because there was no hard evidence of over-the-board cheating.

I have seen nothing that leads me to believe he's insincere or dishonest about his opinions.

The Christmas-New Year holidays kind of run together in our family, since schools are usually out the whole run and my mom is a teacher. So she was off work and we kids were off school, and my dad would take vacation to coincide with all of us.

We'd take the tree down sometime after school came back into session, but we like having it up through the whole holiday season even though my brother and I have been out of school for over 10 years now.

I only gave some advice on the off-chance you didn't already know. This conversation does not need to continue.

I hate the term "woke" because it's overused, but sticking to the common definition of the word...yes, there are some users on CE who take the shtick way too far and lose touch with common sense along the way.

Each person you've slept with in the past is potential baggage going forward. A girl with 10 exes, some of which might still be 'friends' with her, is a lot more complicated than a girl with 1 ex who lives in another state or something.

It's all about the baggage and how life experiences compare to one another. If you've slept with one person ever and she's slept with twenty, the two of you are probably going to have different opinions and values regarding sex and intimacy.

Just making sure. You mentioned her being an alcoholic and it being a king-sized bed, which is a red flag when you're talking about a girl you're interested in. You should actively resist temptation.
