They made it so employers are not required to verify if they are under 16 or require work permits. Which I'm absolutely sure will not be abused.

okay but i'm living in my house. i didn't buy a house to sell it. i bought a house to live in it. and i want to add a lake to my backyard to increase my enjoyment of my property. and hell i hope it does decrease my property value because then my taxes will be lower and that sounds nice to me.

I created a thread about wanting a natural pool. Now I'm in a position to begin planning.

I'm really intimidated by this process as it's a huge expense. I want to start by getting some estimates but realistically it might be a couple years before I can start construction. I want a general idea of what I need to save and get a loan for. Is that all I need to do? Does anyone have any advice?

Let's say someone has a cow to trade and they want some chickens. They would only be able to trade directly with someone who both has chickens and wants a cow more than they want to keep the chickens.

However, if there is something that can be used to represent the value of the cow then the cow can be traded to anyone in exchange for the represented value even if they don't have chickens. Further the represented value can be traded to anyone who is offering chickens but didn't want a cow. Thus opening a larger pool of people who can make an exchange.

Can an employer just deem their employees as tipped salary?

I thought it had to be a job where tips were common for that to happen like working as a wait staff at a typical sit down restaurant or something. Like if I run say a plumbing business and my employee receives a tip on average of 1 in 50 jobs does that mean I can then claim they are a tipped employee? Seems like a pretty damn ridiculous thing to me in that case, if you are receiving tips all the time sure maybe there is some leeway there but tips that are super rare should not trigger this.

They could change it but it'd change your tax structure and you could quit and just go work at any other coffee shop that isn't being unreasonable. This person is trying to talk about an issue that isn't happening for some reason lol

Most of these places don't consistently receive that much in tips. And if they do, it'd be totally up to them to switch to that pay style. Starbucks doesn't pay as a tipped job so why bother discussing it like it does?
