What I wanted out of this game, when I saw original trailers, was pretty much just... Dungeons. Take care of the biggest complaint about BotW and make there be dungeons. I even had in mind - it looked like they were spelunking in the trailers - you can keep the BotW overworld, but utilize that underground, or an alt world (as Zelda often does) to create a huge variety of places to explore so that there IS a wealth of new areas. Theme them, don't just have them all be the same flavor like all of the shrines - but design bigger dungeons that utilize BotW/new mechanics.

There also seemed to be room for co-op gameplay - either with the possibility of switching between characters or having both controlled at once.

Like, we've got all these sky islands, but with using the same overworld as BotW - I want to see it transform. Let me knock down one of these mountains and reveal a temple beneath. Let me find a temple in the Lake. Let me see a huge chunk of Hyrule field fall into a chasm to reveal a gorge to spelunk down in.

There's a lot of potential, but it's hard to get hyped off of what we've seen so far for the things I want.

I've been arguing the opposite a bit in discord, so I'll just say it here -

the problem is that so far, it doesn't look like it will be enough of a new experience. I loved exploring the world of BotW - I'm not sure I'll like exploring the same world on the ground in this one, even if there are some new areas and changes to the overworld.

While the Nuts and Bolts additions seem cool, they seem like just - bonus additions. Will they be enough to really justify the game? Part of the reason people want to see more about story and stuff is that they want to see what's going to be different about the game - so far, it looks like a similar game with added areas and toys.

If you kill enemies straight for 300 hours, they don't still keep getting stronger. Right? There's a point where they hit the max.

I've not seen anything about that, nor do I see any reason to believe it without evidence, given, you know, they had a whole Season Pass for DLC and everything.

Is it not still to a point? Like, silver enemies are silver enemies, blue enemies are blue... put enough hours into the game and it plateaus.

Zelda has had weapon resource management since the first game. Just, instead of worrying about your bomb amount, you're worrying about your sword amount.

The game is designed in a way where you can generally keep up with what you're running into. The enemies get stronger over time... to a point. The weapons go along with them, though you'll be rewarded for killing, say, Lynels, over hunting down Moblins. This creates a system where you can load up on some of the better weapons, save them for bigger enemies, and use more moderate weapons for weaker ones.

Past the first time I defeated a Guardian and went to Kakariko Village, I never ran into a situation where I felt like I had no weapons. That first Guardian drained me, and from that moment on, I always had enough in my inventory, or at least managed my inventory well-enough to never feel at a loss.

Episode 1 was sort of whatever. It gave me some shades of season 2, which yeah, was meh.

But I thought episode 2 was great!

The show is really much better (and I think the reason why season 2 was lacking) when it's about football.

So good luck, and do the best that you can. Town is counting on you, Sam-I-Am.

RULES

GENERAL

1. Mafia is a game of the uninformed majority (the TOWN), against the informed minority (the MAFIA/SCUM). It is the towns job to eradicate the mafia completely, and the mafias job to survive to a point where numbers are such that they cannot lose.
2. The town eliminates the mafia via lynches, which occur once a day. Everyone gets one vote which they may place on whoever they feel is scum. Whoever receives the most votes is lynched, and removed from the game.
3. During the night phase, the mafia gets its chance to even the numbers slightly by killing one townie, removing them from the game. All power roles (under most circumstances) also get to perform their actions.
4. The game ends when one faction meets its victory condition. A player will win, even if they are dead, so long as their alignment triumphs.

VOTING

1. You vote in the format ##Vote: Player, in bold. You can remove your vote by posting ##Unvote, also in bold. You can also choose to ##Vote: No Lynch.
2. The lynch is decided on a plurality system. Once one player receives votes from most of the playership left in the game, the day immediately ends, and that player is lynched. Failing that, every day has a time limit of 48 hours. The player in the lead at that point will be lynched.
3. In the event that two or more players are tied in votes at the end of the day, sudden death will occur. A thirty minute extension will begin once indicated by the host, and only the tied players may be voted for, or unvoted. The moment one player emerges as the vote leader, the day immediately ends, and they will be lynched. If there is no change after thirty minutes, the day will end with No Lynch.
4. The only exception to this is in the case of a No Lynch. It only has to be tied for the lead at the end of the day to assume priority.
5. You may not vote for yourself.
6. You do not need to unvote to change your vote.

ROLES

1. Before the game begins, you will receive your role from the host. This will contain your flavour name/character, your alignment, and your role, as well as some flavour text explaining your character and role. You must read this before playing the game.
2. You must keep this role text to yourself. Sharing it with anyone else within or outside of the topic will lead to your immediate modkill, as well as possibly anyone who sees it.
3. You may choose to reveal your role in-game, but you must do so in a paraphrased format. Directly copying and pasting anything but your flavour name, alignment and role, will likely lead to you being modkilled.

ETIQUETTE

1. A basic level of activity is expected in this game. You are not expected to post for the whole 48 hours, but you are expected to keep up to speed with the topic.
2. Play to win. There is no such thing as being in an unwinnable position in mafia, however hopeless it may seem. If you are patently not trying, and/or sabotaging your faction, you will be on grounds for a modkill.
3. You are forbidden from talking to another player about the game outside the topic, unless you have a special board, or permission from the host to do so.
