That wasn't a case of indistinguishable fingerprints, it was a case of the FBI falsly identifying fingerprints to be the wrong person.

It would definitely be convenient if it was through the local DMV. Granted, it would take two years for them to count the votes, but the current system seems too flawed. People on either side have been caught throwing out or fabricating votes and I think most citizens have lost faith in the process.

What really needs to happen is there shouldn't be an Election Day, but rather an Election Week. With multiple 24 hour polling stations in each county, depending on population.

I'm also in the minority here, but the voting registry should be tied to you fingerprint. There's your voter ID.

But hackers still get through from time to time. You're just one of the lucky ones that hasn't been hit yet.

I worked in the banking industry for a bout a decade prior to the job I currently have. Banks are getting hit with online hackers literally every day.

It's not like every account is in one giant database, where you just have to hack one server and you're good to go. It's a little more complicated than that. And hackers get busted literally every day because of how sophisticated these systems are.

But, unlike the banking systems, where there's insurance and other protections covering these potential successful hacks, hacking a voting system would have no "insurance". At least not yet. They are working on those systems. They have them already on smaller scales, but something as huge as online, country-wide voting for a Presidential Election are still years away.

You're giving us PSU fans a bad name with your ignorance.

That's how it was in my high school. Your grades didn't matter. All that really matter is your appearance.

There were people that were top10 in the grade, and were some of the most popular kids in the grade.

There were also popular kids that would literally only go to school during football season, barely stay academically eligible so they could play, and then flunk the 2nd half of the school year and make it up in the summer.

Its difficult to do fraud on a mass scale.

Thats why its ludicrous that we cant vote online.

But it doesn't have to be on a mass scale. A single banking data breach can affect a hundred thousand accounts. That's not even close to "mass scale".

But a hundred thousand votes spread across the right counties can swing an entire election. Look at 2020. Arizona was decided by less than 11k votes. Georgia by less than 12k. Wisconsin and Nevada's 2nd congression by less than 21k each. Nevada by less than 34k.

That's less than 80,000 votes that essentially swung the entire election. 46 Electoral votes that go to Trump instead of Biden, Trump wins.

So you can hack into 100-200 of the over 3000 US counties and swing an entire Presidential election.

Nothing.

There's online data breaches literally every single day. Which is why banks have to insure your deposits and credit cards offer fraud protection.

Politicians would be crying "stolen election" before a single vote is cast.

New generation of movie viewers know how BS these "happily ever after" movies are.

They need more of the movies to end with "and then they lived together for 40 years, mostly staring at their phones and watching True Crime docs on Netflix" so they're more relatable.

I'd most likely start a new story mode in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Best game for me to ease back into it.
