Monster Hunter got this treatment for years. It's probably both, to be honest. As well as it not being "cutting edge" in any significant way. This game came out after the original Prey and looks really budget. And by that I mean even back then there were people who cared specifically about the advancement of graphics in video games and big budget titles. At least with the new Trials games like Kuro no Kiseki, they look like mildly budgety PS4 games instead of ported handheld games. Although Kuro No Kiseki looks better than Ys 9 because it was PS4/PS5 only and wasn't being ported to Switch. It doesn't look anything like the new Star Ocean graphics wise, but it's still miles better than Ys 8. ... Around 150 hours was enough time spent, especially with how hard it was to play on controller against cross play KB+M. I just wish FPS wasn't dominated by shitty BR, Ranked Comp bullshit. I miss old ass server based FPS shooters. I think as long as you aren't telling tall tales about yourself, you stand to benefit from lying to the interviewer, you just have to avoid stupid pitfalls like "My greatest weakness is I care too much". I worked with a guy in retail who struck me as one of those liars. He was always getting away with shit, and the managers loved him because he told them what they wanted to hear and blamed all his problems on everyone else. He probably would have gotten promoted if he didn't no show thinking he was on track to get a different job somewhere else, after doing phone interviews on the clock pretending to "go on break". --- "You're made of spare parts, aren't ya, bud?" |

Even later Weinerville was playing like The Alvin Show and Mister Magoo and Gerald McBoingboing. I dunno what people from the 80-90s would consider good old classic show. Maybe like Andy Griffith, Leave it to Beaver, The Honeymooners and I Love Lucy I guess. All in The Family was okay too.
