Nah. MCU has had one poor box office movie and the box office now needs to account for D+ release so soon. Guardians 3 will do fine

DCEU has always been a pretty poor performer but I also think The Flash will do pretty good too.

Fact of the matter is, Covid changed things and now unless a movie is worth seeing in a cinema people will just wait to watch it at home.

I also think RT has an impact too. If something doesnt get a great RT score then people just will let that sway their opinion on whether theyll watch it

I actually do agree and this is where Im at. I do wonder if the floodgates opened to giving mcu movies low scores because the likes of iron man 2 or captain marvel didnt get battered like these titles did

What were the memorable battles to you? The sniper fight (which they had) and the bloater in the gym (not done) are the only two memorable encounters to me. When I think back, the rest just blend together as filler in my brain.

I liked that one sewer section with joel solo

Also ellie and david vs infected was sort of the catalyst for david wanting ellie

Agreed.

If there were more encounters, it would've ended up becoming something it wasn't intended to be, an action movie spread across 9 hours of TV. The show was about the "The Last of Us" as in the survivors, not the thing the were fighting.

And the last thing we needed was the show to become as repetitive as the game was. Too much "go here, kill a bunch of infected/fedra/raiders, gather supplies, move to the next area, repeat" with the every so often "move a ladder" minigame.

Hard disagree. Joel was more video gamey in the show than he was in the game. He had autoaim against the infected horde and at the firefly base

It could have had more infected and still not felt walking dead-y. I think there should have been a 10th episode and more infected heavy. Sometimes it felt like the world was devoid of them

I loved the show, 9/10. That said I dont know if 2 flashback romance episodes were necessary in a 9 episode show and joel/ellie never run into an infected again after the halfway mark

Shazam got low scores and is supposedly tanking at thr box office

Ant man low scores, big drops at cinema

Black adam low scores and low box office, the rock (GOAT wrestler-mediocre actor sad)

Thor 4, weakest thor reviews...solid box office though

Dr strange 2. Very divisive, strong box office results

Then we have the 2 solid ones: black panther 2 and the batman. Both with solid scores, fan reception and box office but less so than black panther 1/nolan batman movies

I think guardians 3 and the flash may need to save the genre

Im shocked people like 3 so much. It felt very boring.

The penultimate episode felt the best paced. Had tension. Great character moments from everyone involved. Amazing acting. Distinct set pieces.

Episode 3 pushed a social milestone, but I dont think it would be as praised if it was a heterosexual pairing, ironically. But I guess Im still bummed they changed Bill so much since his arc was one of my favorites from the game.

I wish I could watch the show with zero game knowledge.

I domt agree 100% but I do agree, its still a good episode but with the season done, it just feels like filler to me (i know these words make some of you rage but thats just how I saw it)

Filler can be good, goku and piccolo getting their license was awesome but still filler

I just think you need to do way mire tests before you can cinclude on cutting her up, shes too valuable to act that hastily

There was definitely too little of the infected, after sam and henry, joel/ellie have no encounters with them. Last 4 episodes we only see 2 and in flashbacks

The david story was much weaker. The show struggled when joel wasnt around (for me but for some those were the best episodes)

9/10 if you played the game....maybe 10/10 for people who went in blind

The show is extremely fast paced, but despite the finale being the shortest episode in the series, it adds new things that added more layers to Joel and his decision and what he probably would have done to himself if he let Ellie die.

Great season. 9/10. Only complaint is that it is a little too fast in places. It needed like 2 more episodes.

David was the biggest victim of too faat

I feel like there werent enough infected

Only one bloater the whole show

It seems kind of fast that ellies mom got bit and her body produced resistance for that baby which was born while she was getting bit. I always assumed Ellie's mom had been bit for a day or so before Ellie was born

This is tough. Endgame has his coolest moments but his ending I am still mixed on

I may go winter soldier, it was the one that fixed him up and made him thr character we love, in avengers 1 and cap1 he was way too over the top good guy. He still is but winter soldier was the move that took him to the next level

His look in infinity war is cool but he has like 3 lines in that movie

Because of the fear it won't sell.

Star Wars as a franchise, according to its shareholders and owners, is in a very tenuous financial position.

You and I may not give a crap and just want to see some nice stories, but for the moneybags who invested in it, they want safe returns.

So be ready for us to continue to get stuff in the Imperial era, because that sets the fewest pacemakers fluttering.

How great did solo sell. Rise of skywalker while on its own was successful, was a huge drop. Familiar didnt work out either

If its good, itll sell. It has thr name to do so
