Pretty high. It's not popular in the west but Kingdom is one of the most popular manga series' in Japan (like, comparing it to One Piece or Naruto wouldn't be that unreasonable it's that big) and the anime largely doesn't disappoint. Being historical in nature there isn't a super enormous amount of curve-balls but if you don't actually know that era of Chinese history (not uncommon in the west as it's not The Three Kingdoms) it will get you with some pretty interesting stuff. Importantly being based on real events means that characters can and will die, so if you empathize with anime easily it can get you (though it's not really the sort of anime like, say, Rainbow where it can destroy you).

Yeah that's what drew me in. I'm a pretty big Dynasty Warriors/Three Kingdoms guy but seeing that this was either based on another era or something else fictional caught my eye. Seeing that it is indeed based in history is dope.

I'm guessing since that Qin (AKA Jin right?) is in this, I'm guessing this is after the Three Kingdoms era?

I think what it is is that it's from the Daft Punk song Giorgio by Moroder. In the beginning he has a monologue describing his life and it's pretty calm. But then he ends it with the meme statement "My name is Giovanni Giorgio. But everybody calls me...Giorgio". And that's when the hype music starts. So they just add that hype moment/launch off to funny "hype" moments/videos

Setting is dope but it and the story couldn't carry the utterly boring gameplay. But for $12 it's worth a try because it might be your cuppa tea even if it wasn't mine.
