any of you have jobs where you can afk or watch netflix and such for half the time?

I know night audits at hotels usually can

So much of my time is spent waiting on things that yes I can largely do this, but my hours are also highly irregular (basically any time could be work time to the point where I have no real schedule).

would be the correct parody. He got rid of and conjugated pregnant wrong. Someone will try to say he did it to preserve the sound. But then he should have used since it means the same thing (pregnant) and would end in .

IIRC, most Japanese don't like 2nd hand houses and like to knock down and start again. Therefore the market will adapt to this mindset:

Yes. This is absolutely correct. That said I am more than happy with my house.

Good to know. When I was in Japan, the community-based investment groups going through houses expressed that there were extra steps for foreigners that made the process more difficult and expensive and was just really a way of keeping them out of the market.

It can be harder to get a loan with a good interest rate if you don't have permanent residency. I can't imagine anything else. We put an offer in right before a Japanese couple did and they took ours because it was first.

What Visa did you go with and how long does it allow you to stay in the country before having to reapply? I had one in Korea for business and education that would allow me to stay for six months and then I'd go to Vietnam for a week and reapply my visa for the next six months. I had a student visa in Japan but that's not really helpful for this.

I have a professional visa (professor). My wife has the same (but for engineer). They go for five years but we can reapply without leaving the country. My wife's mother has a stricter visa that only lasts 3 years and her dad has one that only lets him stay in Japan half of the year (he works remote in China, so it doesn't matter where he is really).

Absolutely you can just buy property as a foreigner. I did exactly that. Visa is also not hard to get.

(Also worth noting I do live in the middle of nowhere but it isn't as bad as you would think. There is more here than the reservation I grew up on in the US.)

I agree his jokes about trans people aren't funny. They aren't really jokes, he basically just does a political rant about trans people and it's clearly not a joke because he actually believes those things. That said he still has, or at least had, a lot of good bits in his standup and show.

Not sure if I count since I live in Japan and use Japanese in my daily life at home and work (I only use English online and when talking to family back in America), but the average quality of voice acting in Japan is better. Mainly because the actors are paid a lot more, directors are present, they're practicing lines before the take, the other actors are also in the room, it's a much bigger deal, and big name voice actors are celebrities on TV shows and with popular YouTube channels. It's similar to how Hollywood actors are so good because the industry attracts the best talent, pays them well, and has amazing support staff that direct them. A lot of English voice actors are working for barely any money and can't be bothered to do much more than read lines in a booth because that's all they expect them to do anyway.

That said there are some talented English voice actors who are really giving it their best despite the poor shape of the industry.

There is a tutorial but most of the game will be talking. Shin Megami Tensei, their other series, is basically the opposite. It also has better gameplay in general. So if you're looking for gameplay get SMT game. There will be very little story and a very deep and rewarding battle system.

I mean they're objectively using the monster designs and music of those individuals no matter what so it's not really saying much. The relevant staff here would be directors, writers, etc. None of which are returning.

She follows the Trump family, is a TERF, and who knows what other dirt people dug up on her. None of it is relevant to her claims which is a whole different topic. I don't agree with her, but ad hominem attacks are not relevant to whether or not her grievance is legitimate (I personally think we lack enough evidence to say one way or the other if she was wronged).

Yes, but the spelling does not reflect the way it's spoken.

The final u of syllables is often shortened to the point of sounding like it isn't said. This is heard with words like desu, often sounding like des or sukoshi (origin of the Hawaiian slang word skosh). But it definitely sounds like proper Japanese there outside the obvious low audio quality.
