The person who wanted to pump out tons of content isn't with Marvel any more. I'm not sure if they were fired or if they parted ways amicably, but he or she was replaced by someone who wanted to slow down the pace of releases. For me, it's because there's so much detail in the whole story. You have to deal with the multiverse, different Gods, and so many characters, and storylines. It's really easy to forget something that you watched a year ago. It's like Kingdom Hearts started introducing all those side games.
