To everyone saying New York, do you mean just NYC or the actual state? Upstate NY is actually fairly nice, at least from what I've seen along route 17/17M (about the Warwick to Suffern area) as well as Greenwood Lake.

NYC is a much different beast.

Chances are, if the anime was dubbed in the 90's it's more than likely you may as well just watch the subs. There's a lot that got cut by contemporary dubbing companies of the time (DiC, Funimation, etc) that you're essentially lacking a lot of the experience.

Gundam Wing also had a weird time. It was definitely kept as more "adult" compared to other animes of the time (almost if not all of the outright deaths were kept in), but when it came time to bring Endless Waltz over, they compressed it into a movie that, IIRC, messed up parts of it and altered some parts of it.

I haven't gone to McDonkey's since late 2020 or early 2021. The local one has a joke of a parking lot (the entire lot is horseshoe shaped, but to get to the drive through you have to veer left when the rest of the lot goes right, and then loop back through where traffic goes otherwise, to get back to the building). That and last time I went, a medium quarter pounder w/ bacon combo was like $14; any other fast food place that same combo is aboutm $2-$3 cheaper.

That happened with so much anime, FWIW. Pokemon was missing several, not just the infamous Porygon Electric Soldier episode. I know Outlaw Star was also missing the episode with the onsen, and for a while Dragonball Z lacked an episode where the Great Saiyaman rescues people from a burning building; the last one happened immediately following 9/11.

They also made Zoisite into a woman in the dub, while in Japan Zoisite was male.

I've heard absolute horror stories about sugar free gummy bears, dunno how true though.

The one chip challenge has been around for quite a while actually, it even predates Tiktok to my knowledge; it's a company called Paqui that has a tortilla chip variety that's so strong (Carolina reaper strong) they only give you a single chip that appears to date to at least 2016; it's actually named that:

Still, it helps to know what you're getting into. Carolina reapers are no joke, and are the hottest pepper out there that's known as consumable by humans. I've gone as high as the previous record holder (Trinidad scorpion) a couple months back and it was intense

The current record holder (which beat the Carolina Reaper, which beat the Trinidad scorpion, which beat the ghost pepper) is the dragon's breath which is apparently so strong it's not even known if it's humanly consumable.

Finding a place to live that's accommodating for both of you? There's quite a size difference.

Man, that was a real unfortunate casualty of the Rare buyout.

It sucks, but I'm also indifferent enough that I'm still getting Bayonetta 3 and I'm not getting rid of the fair amount of Platinum's games I already own.

I have a hard time getting up in arms about game-related stuff now. I'm so desensitized in regards to hearing about shitty thing that a game company did #58658 that I just end up not wanting to discuss it and go do something else.

I use one. I spread the peanut butter, then scoop jelly out with a spoon (because I find a knife ineffective getting that stuff out), plop it on the sandwich and use the same knife to spread that.

I did a couple times like 3 months ago on my lunch break at work.

The first time I got a 6" sweet onion chicken teriyaki, some Sun Chips and a drink. It had so much sauce I felt like I dipped my hands in glue, and the sandwich was tiny

The second time I got a footlong chicken bacon ranch and a drink. It was fine, but it was almost $17. Way more than anything from Subway is worth.

I have no plans to go back.
