When I was even younger I was pushing someone on a swing, they fell off, broke their fingers. Straight to the hospital. You seem to be thinking people arent fragile. A nose can get broken in a second, even by something like a phone being let go and going straight back into the nose of the person pulling on it. (As an example, not likely to be the case here.)

Now, again, Im not trying to deny domestic violence is common. I understand the fawning response exists. There just isnt remotely enough info in these couple texts to draw that conclusion, and pretending like its the only possible thing that could have happened is, at best, dumb. At worst its having decided on what you want to have happened and refusing to consider any other possibility.

And the fact that she admits they had a fight and that the injuries were severe enough for the police to be called?

That's one hell of a slip. Must slipped several times. Figure after the first few slips he would have just given her the phone.

Im not saying thats what happened, I tend to err on the side of it being domestic abuse, but all this armchair psychology is really stupid.

Personally, I would say the people who immediately started saying everyone else was jumping the gun the second his lawyers came out and said they had proof he didn't do it, only for said proof to make it look even more like he did it are the ones who jumped the gun, but...

Buddy we're talking about just calling someone what they want to be called. If someone introduces themselves as Chris do you say "No, you're name is Christopher"? No, you call them Chris like they requested, so why is it hard to call someone she or he or they when they ask you to?

Same reason they think wearing a mask when they're sick is a violation of their freedom. Imagine if these people were around when someone was like "Hey, maybe we should start covering our mouths when we sneeze"

Tbh, the one where the guy is trying to get on the lifeboat on the Titanic and the guy says "women and children first" and the guy saus "did you just assume my gender?" is pretty funny. Though admittedly it was funnier because all this right wing shit actually got concerning.

I mean, he/him she/her they/them are just normal pronouns, no reason not to use them. If you find the one person who actually uses one of the other pronouns that people seem to have a problem with, a simple "I'd rather just not talk to you" will suffice.

I think people forget because of the way wrestling presents itself that it's essentially a tv show. Yeah what he's saying is horrible, but he's a villain, you wouldn't watch a villain in a movie or TV show doing horrible things and complain because you realize he's meant to be awful and doing villainous things.

The problem is more often than not in wrestling it's either played for laughs or the people saying these things are presented as the good guys. Greg Valentine was definitely a heel though.

I kinda see what TC is saying. It'd be a cameraman in a world where the things he's recording are extraordinary in some way, not a serious drama about camera operating. The closest thing is probably found footage but something closer would be like, I dunno, a world where everything that happens in movies is real and camera men are forced to follow these dangerous events while they happen.

And then going back to the cab driver, who probably would have done more than simply drop her off and continue to drive Majors. If the cab driver really saw assault, why didnt s/he stop the car to deescalate, refuse service, and or report the assault to police (whatever is the taxi protocol in situations like this)? The cab driver seemingly continued driving Majors as if nothing significant happened. Or why did she wait until the next morning call 911 and go to the hospital for examination, instead of immediately during or after the incident had occurred? She was dropped off at a residence, not seemingly too traumatized to need support or assistance in processing. So, what we know to have transpired doesnt add up if there really was an assault

Taxi drivers probably see shit like this happen in their cabs all the time and don't report it and people don't always act 100% rational in high stress situations.

As for the victim recanting...victims in normal domestic abuse situations do that all the time. Add the fact that this specific (alleged) abuser has the might of a multi-billion dollar company and all the resources that provides who has a vested interest in not having the actor they've decided to build an entire franchise around as the main villain being arrested and charged with assault.

Might be nice but you'd be a slave in all but name. In a company town everything you make goes back to the company. You have to live on their property, buy groceries and everything else in their stores, utilities and everything also go to them. The prices at these stores are also marked up. It's not trolling. You don't have to believe me. I really just don't understand the concept of pinning all punishment on one guy and having him take the blame somehow absolves everyone else of blame. It doesn't make any sense at all. I don't linger on this thought every day of my life, it randomly came up in my head and I figured it would be interesting as a discussion to talk about the implications of it. In the context of Christianity, all humans are born into Sin. Jesus essentially being a sacrificial lamb to absolve original sin meant that the only thing you had to do to absolve your sin was to accept Jesus as your lord and saviour, which I believe prior to that your sin could only be absolved by members of the clergy. It essentially told commoners they didnt need the clergy to absolve them, because they were already absolved because of his sacrifice. Which is part of the reason early Christianity was unpopular with the elites until Justinian made it the official religion of the Roman Empire.

As far as one person taking the blame goes, the idea is that God,/Jesus loved humanity enough that he allowed himself/his son to be humiliated, tortured, and killed to save us, and thats proof of his love and why you should worship them.

As to why God needed a sacrifice to absolve sin against himself...*shrug* youd probably need to talk to a biblical scholar for that

But I think the games would be better if casual mode was the only mode and they were designed around the maps being hard enough that youre going to have to lose a number of units to win, like a chess match. The classic mode strategy of keeping units tightly together and advancing slowly, kiting enemies one at a time is Boring.

That's a separate issue though. As of right now FE is balanced around classic mode so playing in casual takes away a ton of the fun/challenge. Especially with how easy it is to make overpowered units.

But yeah, games like Triangle Strategy where it's balanced around no permadeath are fine.
